Once again, Lev was required to work late night. Now while it wasn't too late, say around ten or so, it was later than usual for him. He was just fine with it though, and he got paid extra. What exactly was he asked to do you wonder? Well, he was on the trail of a werewolf. This werewolf had had a tracker implanted in him awhile ago, and now Lev's boss wanted it back. Every so often, they'd have to be switched out for whatever reason, whether it was broken, and starting to fail. In this case, it wasn't always transmitting. So now he'd found the location of the werewolf, and paid extra attention to the fact that a lycan could easily sense him. To keep that risk down to a minimum, he used what he was taught back at the facility in Russia. Using the environment, such as the wind and stronger scents, he was making good progress so far.
Sooner or later though, he'd have to decide on a time to let his presence be known. And that time was now. Stepping out into the street behind the werewolf, who was in human form, he began to follow him. It didn't take long for the guy to stop, turn around, and look at Lev. "Can I help you?" He asked, a bit of annoyance in his voice. "You can actually." Lev replied. And with that, he pulled out the taser he had before firing two separate shock probes at the man. Since he'd only just become a lycan a few months ago, Lev didn't expect much of dodge from him, and he was right. The probes found their mark, and the man jolted for a moment before collapsing to the ground. Walking over to the now unconscious werewolf, he stood there for a moment. "Stay." He said to him, obviously hinting at the fact that the man was part dog.
From there, he holstered the taser before kneeling down next to the guy. Then he opened a small case that he had, removing a device that looked more like a temperature gun. Running it over the man's body, it would tell him where exactly the tracker was. When it found it, Lev put it away before putting on a smock that fit over his upper body, and some gloves as well. He then reached into his pocket and pulled out an iPod. He always liked to add some humor into things, but he also liked listening to his music. So once he put the ear buds in, he selected a song and it began to play. Now he reached for a scalpel and cut a gash into the man's side. Once he cut deep enough, which was pretty damn deep, he began to look for the tracker. They weren't that big, so it could often be a hassle to try and find it.
That was when his phone rang. Seeing that this wasn't exactly the best time to take a call, he ignored it the first time around. However, the phone only rang again, and Lev was forced to pull his hands from inside the man's body. Taking off one of the gloves, he reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. When he looked at the caller ID, he saw that it was Issy. With a bit of a sigh, he pulled one of the ear buds from his ear, and picked up her call. He never really gave her much time to explain things either. He really couldn't talk to her right now, it was inconvenient. "I'm working, love. Call me back later." And with that, he hung up the phone and stuck it back in his pocket. Then he put the glove back on as well, and proceeded with his work.

Before her father, Issy was going to tell Lev. It was only fair, and in her mind, right. The baby was as much Lev's as it was her own, and if anyone deserved to know first it was of course Lev; it was only the matter of when she'd tell him. She wanted it to be perfect, but the perfect moment kept evading her as if some force was working against her. Every chance she had Lev to herself, something happened to ruin the moment for her and further prolong when she'd tell him that she was pregnant. Every time she made to tell him, something happened to garble the moment and ruin her opportunity; attempting to tell Lev was becoming grueling, and she wanted to tell him before he found out on his own. Nerves were another issue. Despite having talked to him about it, and knowing he wanted a baby, she couldn't help but feel nervous. Perhaps he was just saying that to make her happy? Doubt encircled that thought, but still, she couldn't shake the nerves that washed through her. Excitement was there, of course, but it was all in Lev's reaction that her nerves lay.
She stared down at her cellphone, reading the number that sat, waiting, on the screen. Lev was working late, again, on the night that she decided she was going to tell him, no matter what. She finally came to the decision while on a walk, despite how late it was, and the moment she came to her decision she slowed her pace and stopped in the middle of the sidewalk. Within seconds she had her phone out and Lev's number punched out, but her thumbed hesitated over green button. Issy wasn't planning on telling him over the phone. She merely wanted to call him and tell him that she had to talk to him about something, something important, and that if he could, not to be late coming home. She'd wait up for him, as she often did, even if he was late, but this time around she truly did care if he was late. No longer did she want to wait; she wanted to tell Lev: she was making it the right time, whether it liked it or not.
And without further ado, Issy pressed the call button and brought her phone to her ear. She expected an answer within the first two rings, but her call went through five whole rings before forwarding her to his voicemail. Perhaps he was busy and hadn't heard his phone; he wouldn't purposefully ignore her call, at least she didn't think he would. But this wasn't something meant for texts or voicemails: she needed Lev to answer, and she was going to get him to answer. Within seconds her phone was back to her ear, phone ringing, and heart hammering as two rings passed; and then she heard the call connect. Immediately a smile played across her lips. “Levy!” Happiness coated her voice, but it was quickly ripped from her as she caught his swift, blunt words before he hung up on her with no more than a hello. She was used to his rudeness, but even for him that was a horrible move. Tears pricked the back of her eyes, but she quickly blinked them away as anger spiked within her. It wasn't like she was calling to gab his ear off. She never did that, and she wasn't about to start; in fact, all she needed was, at most, thirty seconds of his time.
Driven more by her irritation than by her wish for him to be home on time, Issy shoved her phone into the front pocket of her pants and balled her hands into fists; if he didn't want to talk to her on the phone, fine. She'd go to him; it would be hard for him to hang up on her face, and given the swift turn of her mood she almost hoped he try just so she could unleash the anger that left a rather bitter taste in her mouth. Knowing the type of people he usually went after while on a hunt, it wasn't hard to think of which areas to look around first, and she had her destination within seconds: Portview, as she wasn't far from the area. Late at night or not, she wasn't bothered with searching the rougher sections of the city alone. Issy wouldn't think twice about calling for her father if someone appeared even the slightest bit sketchy. She wasn't going to put her baby before her pride, and she'd gladly take the emotional blow.
Portview was only a few minutes walk from where she currently stood, and without further hesitation she made for the darker, shadier bit of the city; finding Lev proved less painful than she thought as she picked up on his scent, and within moments was in sight of him. Not caring about what he was doing, or who he was with, she closed the space between them and was on him faster than white on rice on a paper plate in the middle of a snow storm. She yanked an earbud violently out of his ear, her blue orbs blazing with a dangerous mixture of frustration and irritation.“Ring, ring, Asshole... why the fuck did you hang up on me?” t a g Levy <3 w o r d count 894 n o t e - l y r i c s eminem Love the Way You Lie t e m p l a t e made by LiLi

As the music found its way through the headphones and into his ears, Lev kept up with his work as if it were no big deal at all. And in actuality, it really wasn't. He's done this numerous times before, which meant that he knew what he was doing. Now as far as the unconscious guy went, he'd be fine if Lev did things right. So he pressed on, continuing in trying to find that tracker. Again, it was small, so it wasn't as easy as one may've thought. To add to that, Lev was on a time schedule. He had to be back and in front of his boss within an hour. That was another reason why he had hung up on Issy. Talking on the phone only wasted time, and he'd take whatever extra time he could get. Hopefully, Isabeau didn't take it too harshly. If she wanted to yell at him for it, then she could once he got home. For now, he was a bit occupied with his job.
Then, it was about seven minutes after first cutting into the man, that Lev was interrupted. The ear bud was torn violently from his ear, and because he had been concentrating, he hadn't noticed Issy as she came up to him. Now that she had obviously made herself known though, Lev looked up at her. "Love, be careful with that!" He said in a bit of a surprised voice, speaking of the ear bud. The kind he had weren't cheap, and he didn't want her ruining them. He was used to this kind of attitude from her though, but he hated that she was bothering him while he had his hands full. "And I hung up on you because I'm busy, and you're distracting me. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get back to work." Without saying any more, Lev put the ear bud back into his ear, and stuck one of his hands into the open wound that he'd made in the guy's side.
He'd found out through his own experiences, that ignoring Issy was sometimes the best plan of action. He didn't want to argue with her while at work, especially when he had to concentrate on something, like he had to now. He knew though that Issy would more than likely rip the ear bud from him again and give him a mouthful of words. Again, he was used to it, but he really needed to get his work done. If he didn't, Issy wouldn't be the only one yelling. His boss would be too, and to have two different people coming at him didn't seem fun at all. So in turn, he actually hoped that Isabeau would leave him be so he could explain things later. And he wouldn't mind doing that once he got home. Hell, he wouldn't even mind explaining it on the phone if she called him back. As long as he got to finish up with what he was doing first.
Seeing as how persistent Issy could be at times though, he had a feeling that he'd be delayed and distracted quite a bit. Despite that, and whatever this situation came out to, he knew that they'd still love one another late on. That was the strange, yet fascinating thing about their relationship. While most couples made things worse by arguing, it only seemed to bring Lev and Issy closer to together. For the most part, she could slap him, and he wouldn't get all too upset. Unless she was completely pissed, then it would bother him. And just about anything that usually broke couples apart, meant just the opposite for Lev and Issy. Except for the obvious stuff though, like cheating. However, Lev would never in his life, cheat on Isabeau. He found her to be a perfect match for him, and there wasn't any other person out there that was better than her.
Even when he first met her, he felt this weird attraction for her attitude. She was feisty, and didn't take crap from others, including him. How she got away from him though, well, no one else knew about that besides him and her. Not any of his coworkers and especially not his boss. His excuse was that she had simply managed to stick him with his own needle full of sedative, even though that was a bit obvious. They had found him unconscious, out like a light. When he found out for himself about what she had done, he was pissed, although he wasn't shy to admit that he enjoyed her "company". Issy rolled her eyes at Lev's order of being careful with his earbud; she honestly didn't care if they were expensive or of good quality, or even a gift from someone. If she had scissors, there would have been nothing to stop her from reaching over and snipping the wire, making repair impossible. She was that irritated with Lev, and her annoyance only grew with Lev's explanation of why he hung up before quickly taking his earbud back and stuffing it back into his ear. Her mouth slightly fell open and she blinked, teetering on the edge of being appalled, shocked and feeling insulted. For a moment, Issy stood there and stared at Lev, her mixture of surprise and irritation rendering her momentarily speechless.
She understood that he was working, but what she wanted to say in the beginning would have taken only a few seconds. The only reason she was going out of her way to grab his undivided attention was simply for the fact that he had been so rude, without good reason. Had he kindly told her to call back, or visa-versa, then things would have been different; but things didn't work out that way, especially not with Lev's attitude. Not that it was all Lev's fault; Issy was as much to blame as Lev, with her almost need to bite back whenever Lev stepped even the slightest out of line. It was almost like a game with them, one that neither seemed to win or lose, and one that they each seemed to enjoy just about as much as they loathed it. Fighting with Lev was amusing, and most times she did it simply to aggravate him, to give him a hard time. Unlike most couples, Issy and Lev only seemed to grow more fond of one another with each argument. They could easily take each others shit, and at the end of the day know that the other wasn't going to go anywhere. As much as they annoyed one another, their feelings for each other were just as strong, and each argument only seemed to strengthen their bond, if that was possible. She loved Lev, more than she ever thought it was possible to love someone, but she wasn't afraid to call him an asshole. He was an asshole; usually, she found it endearing. Usually.
This was not one of those times, and honest, pure irritation raked through her body as she watched Lev turn from her and attempt to ignore the fact that she was standing right next to him. Was he honestly that stupid? She wished; he wasn't stupid, he was just an asshole, which made it ever more grating. Issy took in a small, sharp breath and, without thinking, reached out and once more yanked the earbud clean from Lev's ear. She kept the thin wire between her fingers and, quite unable to help herself, whipped the side of Lev's head with his own earbud. But she wasn't that mad: at least not yet. Dropping the earbud, Issy folded her arms over her chest and glared at him with fiery, blazing blue eyes. “Why must you be such an asshole, Levy? I didn't want to sit on the phone and chat with you. What if I needed you? You're lucky that it wasn't an immediate emergency.. but still, I wasn't simply calling to see what you were up to. I needed to tell you something. Something important. It would have taken me all of ten seconds, and then you could have gone back to whatever... it is...”
Sentence falling incomplete, Isabeau blinked as her eyes, for the first time, caught sight of the blood that stained portions of Lev. Her eyes danced from Lev at that point and to the man lying on the ground: the obvious source of the blood. A small gasp caught in her throat as she caught the wound, no doubt inflicted by Lev. “Levy!” She squealed, returning her gaze back to Lev. “What did you do?! WHYDIDYOUDOTHAT?! Is.. is he dead...?” Lev was a Hunter, she knew that; but the only times she saw him on the job was when something was an obvious threat. The vampires she witnessed him bring down were anything but harmless, but the man on the ground, Werewolf by the scent, was hardly the threat while he remained motionless on the ground. It was also obvious that Lev had cut into him and, as the blood all over Lev would suggest, shoved his hands inside the man and rummaged around. He wasn't a heartless man, and she knew that there was more than likely a good reason for doing what he did, but she still couldn't shake the uncomfortable feeling that washed over her as she eyed the unconscious man. She had only ever seen people trying to kill Lev, but this man was completely out. He looked harmless, as well as innocent. t a g Levy <3 w o r d count 824 n o t e - l y r i c s eminem Love the Way You Lie t e m p l a t e made by LiLi

He knew it would happen, and indeed it did. Within moments, Issy had pulled the earbud from his ear. What he didn't expect though, was for her to hit with him. Taking his hands away from his work again, he glanced over at Issy once more. "If you were in an immediate emergency, you could've called your father." Lev said to her. "He'd get there a lot faster than I could." Being a god, Remy had all the abilities of every species. That included teleportation. So if Issy ever needed him, he could be there in seconds. Lev knew how much she meant to Remy, and how much power he had within him. Not only could he beat Lev somewhere to help Issy, but he could also do a much better job at fighting people off. Lev was only human, and he wasn't afraid to admit that it meant he wasn't all too much for the more powerful species. They could kill him quite easily.
Lev often took the risk though, going after the more dangerous and threatening targets that came into The Union. Usually. Every once and awhile, his boss would throw in something easy and rather pointless, just to mess with Lev. As one could guess, it annoyed him quite a bit. What also tended to annoy him, was when Issy interrupted him, such as now. Yet as he listened to her lecture him a bit more, he noticed that she stopped mid sentence, and glanced down at the unconscious man on the ground. Not at all phased by her question or the look on her face, he answered her. "He's fine, lovie." He said to Issy, once more going back to what he was doing. Yet, he kept the ear buds out this time so he could hear what she had to say. "And he's got something that my boss wants back."
Although it might've seemed gruesome and somewhat heartless, Lev was actually being careful with what he did. He didn't rummage around recklessly, but instead, went by what he learned about human anatomy. He knew where all the major organs were, and he purposely missed those as he ran his hands inside the body to look for the tracker. Despite all that though, he knew Issy would probably think otherwise about the guy on the ground being "fine". To anyone else, he might've looked dead, but Lev was certain that he wasn't. The guy was still breathing, and he had a good pulse. Once Lev was done with his handy work, he'd patch him back up and take the tracker back to his boss. It wasn't any big deal to him, which was why he wasn't phased by any of this at all. The sight didn't bother him, nor did the smell.
As a hunter, he's been around these kinds of things plenty of times. And more and more often, his boss has wanted to recover something from someone. In some instances, he'd want the person alive, but in others, he didn't care about the outcome. As long as he got what he wanted. In this case, his target was to be left alive. So he paid extra attention to what he was doing, adding to his slight irritation as Issy bugged him. Good thing he was used to dealing with her as well, and others who had that same kind of attitude. It was because of them, that he could handle it without really snapping. He dealt with it like it went on every single day of his life...because it did really. So with his mind concentrated on what he was doing, and his ears concentrated on anything else Issy might've had to say, he continued on. A frown flickered over Issy's face as Lev spoke, his words ringing true. If it had truly been an emergency she wouldn't have hesitated in calling for her father before Lev, and she hated that he caught on to that, despite it being her own fault for not thinking her words over before speaking; but right or not, Lev was hardly off the hook. The fact of the matter was that there was no need for him to be so rude, and even if she did call for her father first, there was still the fact that in an emergency she would have wanted him. Had she needed immediate help, her father of course would have been able to provide, but emotionally she would have needed Lev more for the simple fact that, despite being unaware, he was the father of her unborn child. If it had been an emergency, he wouldn't have known and to her that was almost as bad as him not caring.
But for the moment her attention was elsewhere as she stared, horrified, at the Werewolf and the opening in his body. Issy quirked a brow at Lev's answer and she let out a curt, unamused laugh. “Levy, he is anything but fine! You cut him open.. you had your hands inside him!” She squealed again, frantically waving a hand toward Lev's bloodied hands. It was obvious that he had been searching for whatever his boss wanted back, whatever that was; she didn't care, at all, what his boss wanted back. The man wasn't “fine”; no one was the definition of “fine” when they had an incision and someone's hands inside of the them.
Issy's eyes widened as Lev turned from her, again, and turned his attention back to the Werewolf. He was going to go back to rummaging inside of the man, as if it were something normal. While it more than likely was normal for him, given his line of work, it wasn't at all normal for Issy and she flailed inwardly. “Levy, stop it!” She breathed, shaking her head in objection. And without much thought, she reached out and slapped Lev across the back of his head. “He could be in pain!” She cried softly. Despite the Werewolf not stirring, Issy found it hard to believe that Lev's target felt nothing. She even shoved her own hatred for Werewolves aside. Werewolf or not, she couldn't watch Lev dig inside of him. Her own side ached studying the man's wound, and she had to turn her gaze on Lev in order to keep from becoming nauseous. t a g Levy <3 w o r d count 438 n o t e - l y r i c s eminem Love the Way You Lie t e m p l a t e made by LiLi

The exact words that he expected to hear, came to him in mere moments. She didn't think he was fine, but Lev was certain that he was. If he patched him up the right way, he'd heal from it pretty quickly. "Of course I did, Issy." He said to her when she mentioned that he had his hands inside of the man. "This is part of what I do." And it would probably remain that way for quite some time. Lev actually enjoyed cutting people open and rummaging around inside of them. Why? He wasn't sure. It wasn't like his reason for hunting, which had a number of clear cut answers. For one, he did it for the adrenaline rush. And then the second biggest factor, was that he liked the challenge. Lev had never been the one to like sitting around, doing nothing all day. Those desk jobs weren't for him, but you could probably tell by the way he was raised.
As he concentrated, he was once again pulled away from what he was doing, when Issy slapped him across the back of the head. "Lovie, why the violence?" He asked her. As much as he was being himself, it was an honest question. She didn't have to slap him to get his attention. "And I promise you that he's not feeling any pain at all. Even if he were, it'd be very minimal." The guy was out like a light, and one could compare the procedure to what happened when you went to get surgery. The man on the ground was totally unaware as to what was happening, so it was like he was sleeping. "Now honestly, you're distracting me." Once more, he placed his hands inside the man, getting a feeling that he was moving closer to the tracker. They were quite small, able to be put into someone with one of those injection guns.
Speaking of that, Lev had one with him. He was supposed to remove the tracker that wasn't working, and replace it with one that was. He first wanted to remove the faulty one though, since having two different trackers in there could give you a number of issues. Searching for some time and only pulling out the wrong one, wasn't exactly fun. He's seen other hunters do it, and it was a stupid mistake. So once Lev found the old one, he'd put the new one in and patch up his little target. As for what he'd be feeling afterward, just a bit of pain and that daze/woozy state because of the sedatives. Both would wear off in time though, and before you knew it, this werewolf would be as good as new. Tag: Issy Word count: 467 Notes: Nope Lyrics: Amour - Rammstein Template: Lycan

Part of what he did. Issy made a small face, though she already knew that part of his job entailed things such as cutting people open and searching inside of them, as well as searching for them and killing them should they prove to be an even greater threat. But it still didn't make it any easier on Issy as she glanced at the Werewolf. Not that he wanted him to, for the sake of Lev's safety, but the Werewolf was quite defenseless and it just didn't seem right to her; and again, she didn't believe that he wasn't in any pain. “Because you won't listen to me otherwise.” She replied back quite sharply as she turned her eyes on Lev. Sometimes slapping him really was the only way to get his attention, or to let him know that she was serious. In this case, it was both.
Isabeau narrowed her eyes as Lev spoke of her distracting him; her irritation was reaching a dangerous level, and it only grew higher as he suddenly looked away from her and turned his attention back to the Werewolf. Without skipping a heartbeat, Lev dug his hands back into the man as if Issy weren't even there. Her jaw dropped slightly as her heart faltered, her stomach rolling and her throat clenching as she suddenly felt the urge to vomit. It was bad enough that he was digging inside of a man, but did he really have to go and do it in front of her when he knew that it made her uneasy? Issy swallowed hard as she felt her saliva glands kick into high gear, and she knew that it was only a matter of time before she got sick. Nauseous and truly annoyed, Isabeau raised her hand and once more slapped Lev across the head. “Stop that! Don't do that in front of me. What the Hell is wrong with you?” She hissed, turning away for a moment as she forced herself to take deep, even breaths.
The heavy scent of blood from the Werewolf didn't help her to tame her nausea and she closed her eyes. Stronger than her nausea was her prickling irritation. Allowing her annoyance to get the better of her, Issy snapped her attention back to Lev and narrowed her eyes into a glare as she focused on him. “Distracting, am I? Well how is this for a distraction?” Before he had time to respond to her, she folded her arms over her chest and let out a sharp sigh. “I'm pregnant, Levy.” It wasn't her ideal way of surprising him with the news. In fact, it was far from what she hoped and pictured out of all the ways she worked it out in her mind; but her tongue and mouth worked faster than her mind, and the words were out quicker than she could even process them. t a g Levy <3 w o r d count 487 n o t e - l y r i c s eminem Love the Way You Lie t e m p l a t e made by LiLi

At times, it wasn't always his fault when he acted like an ass. Again, his boss required him to do tons of work. If he didn't get those things done, he risked his job, and that was why he was always busy. So despite his own feelings, Lev didn't always have the time to do the things Issy wanted him to do. "I'm listening, love. I'm able to multitask." He said to her. And that ability tended to help him out a lot. In some situations, he was able to do two or three things at once. As long as it didn't overwhelm him and slow him down. Talking and working? That wasn't a problem at all. Unless he had to talk because of a call. Holding the phone required you to use at least one hand, and Lev wasn't a fan of the speaker phone, or those wireless headsets. So if he was working and couldn't take a call, the person would just have to wait.
At the moment, his hands continued to work carefully as he searched for the tracker. If he couldn't find it within the next few moments, he was thinking of using that scanner again to trace it. It had first told him that the tracker was just underneith the ribs. But with Issy distracting him, he couldn't concentrate as much. Slapping him again didn't help either, and he turned his glare to her. "Well, you've told me that I'm ass." Lev said to answer her question. "And that could be what's wrong with me. Or, it could be the fact that I'm trying to get my work done." And with that, he stuck his hands back in for about the tenth time before he heard what Issy had to say next. For most, the news would've been shocking. However, Lev didn't take that statement seriously. He simply believed that she was trying to get his attention.
"Issy, I'm on a schedule, love." It might've seemed cold and uncaring for him to pass off the fact that his girlfriend was pregnant, but again, he thought she was only trying to distract him. The last thing on his mind right now, was that she was serious, and actually bearing his child. In his years as a hunter, Lev's been told a number of stories. Some of them were believable while the others weren't. Now that wasn't to say that he thought Issy was making up a story. It was very well possible that she was pregnant, but another factor that made him think otherwise, was that time seemed to go by fast. To him, it didn't seem that long ago that he and Issy had their little drinking game and fun. Plus, his mind was starting to drift back to trying to get the tracker. Pretty soon, he'd have to path this guy up before he did too much damage. Something his boss would likely yell at him for. Issy hated Lev's boss for a number of reasons, despite having never met the man face-to-face. He seemed like an ass and not in the way that Lev was an ass; he seemed more like a gigantic asshole than any sort of human Issy knew of, and she often questioned if he had a heart. Lev was often late coming home, 'often' being almost daily, and all the reasons why Issy could barely get a hold of Lev was because of his boss. There was a time when she was stranded on the side of the road, and Lev couldn't get out to her and she knew it had to do with his work, but she knew it was more or less because of Lev's boss. True, Lev didn't abandon her and helped her where he could, by getting someone else to help, but the fact that he couldn't get out to her only gave another strike against Lev's boss. She contemplated going all out and giving him three strikes, simply because of Lev's attitude, but she was quickly drawn from her hatred for the man as Lev spoke.
Her blue eyes rolled dramatically as she let out an exasperated sigh, brushing the glare he shot her off to the side. Get his work done? Issy felt another wave of nausea roll over her and she forced herself not to glance down at the man with Lev's hands inside him; Lev didn't have to be so obnoxious, or rude. He could have waited until she was gone to shove his hands back inside the man. A retort scuttled across her tongue, but before she could even open her mouth Lev's next words stole the breath straight from her lungs. Her mouth fell slightly open and immediate tears sprang into her eyes.
Heart falling into the pit of her stomach, Issy blinked at Lev and a tear escaped her eye. Her annoyance and irritation were quickly wiped away as shock and disbelief rolled over her countenance; it was as if he passed her news off as no more than an annoying fly. Did his work really mean that much to him? Her doubt about Lev wanting a baby returned, full force, and made a soft, choking gasp flow from between her lips. To her, it appeared as if Lev didn't care and it struck her like a quick blade to the chest, though the pain she felt was so much more. Her throat tightened as she struggled not to cry, but the battle was soon lost as her tears betrayed her and mercilessly flowed down her cheeks; she couldn't move, or look away from Lev, despite how much she felt like turning away, or simply vanishing all together. t a g Levy <3 w o r d count 456 n o t e - l y r i c s eminem Love the Way You Lie t e m p l a t e made by LiLi

In a way, there was some reason as to why Lev's boss made him do so much work. He was one of the most experienced hunters that The Union had, and he was a veteran to their organization. Lev's been there for years, which meant he knew about The Union, inside and out. He knew what to expect, and that was why his boss pushed him so much. Still though, it would've been nice not to be pushed every single time. And in some cases, he wasn't...but that was rare. By now, he was used to it, and he was hoping that Issy would get used to it as well. He didn't like it when she grew worried because of him coming home late, and he did what he could to try and ease her of that worry. At the moment though, he wasn't exactly pleased with Issy as she stood there and distracted him. Again, he didn't think she was telling the truth when she said that she was pregnant, but that was all due to change.
When he heard her sob for a moment, he looked up at her and saw the tears. This caused Lev to immediately stop what he was doing, pulling his hands from the unconscious man on the ground, and turning his full attention to Issy. "Love, you were serious about that, weren't you?" He asked. It might've seemed like a dumb question, but as mentioned, he wasn't paying complete attention to her at that moment. And, he thought she was only trying to distract him further. So Lev then took off the gloves he was wearing, and stood up, walking over to Issy. "I'm sorry, Issy." He said to her, apologizing for passing it off. He really did want this baby, despite how he shrugged it off just now. And as far as the man on the ground, well, that was the least of Lev's concerns at the moment.
Again, his full attention was on Isabeau, and the baby that he know knew she carried. It was a surprise for him, though while he was happy, he was also upset about what he said to Issy. If she forgave him, that was when he'd show her how happy he was. But if she didn't, he wasn't sure if he could ever forgive himself either. He didn't mean to sound as cold as he did, and he'd do whatever he could to take it back. This whole thing was like a slap in the face to him, and because of it, he'd never pass off her statements again. At least not something as serious as this. And now, he was also sorry for not answering the phone. Doing so would've made things a lot easier, and it never would've turned up like this. So he stopped just behind Issy, hoping that she'd forgive him. Tag: Issy Word count: 502 Notes: Nope Lyrics: Amour - Rammstein Template: Lycan

He didn't care that she was carrying his child, and in her mind that meant that he didn't want the baby. He didn't want the baby: it was all she could think about, and the pain in her chest only grew worse with each passing second. To say that she loved Lev, in her mind, was an understatement and the moment she found out she was pregnant with his baby she felt nothing but sheer happiness; it was the happiest she ever felt, that she could remember, but not a trace of that happiness lingered within her as she finally was able to tear her eyes from Lev and turned from him, finally willingly giving in to her tears.
Issy's hands clasped over her face briefly as she silently sobbed, her mute cries causing her shoulders to tremble as rejection painfully rolled through her. From the moment they had talked about a baby, she wanted nothing more than to have Lev's baby; she wanted to carry his child even before they gave having a baby a thought, but that she had kept, and would keep, to herself. It didn't matter anymore, as Lev so coldly made clear. Caught up in her thoughts and the stabbing pain in her chest that came with each breath, Issy didn't hear Lev stir behind her and walk closer; she didn't take notice of him until he spoke, and his voice breaking through the air so suddenly caused her to jump and pull her hands sharply from her face as she glanced behind her.
Despite the overwhelming sadness that undulated through her, Issy couldn't shake the irritation that came with his apology and she let out a small, wavering sigh as she attempted to, once more, keep from crying. She ignored his apology; it didn't make her feel any better. “What does it matter if I was serious or not, Lev? You obviously.. don't care.” Her throat tightened as she spoke, and her voice broke as she heard her own words. Saying aloud that Lev didn't care spiked the pain in her chest and she turned from him again as a new bout of tears cascaded down her face. She didn't bother wiping them away as she took a step away from him, knowing that there would be more the moment she dried her cheeks. His earlier words fluttered through her mind and let out a pitiful noise caught between a cry and sigh. “I am sorry for being a distraction in your life.”
She knew she annoyed Lev, irritated him and angered him at times; but being a distraction was something she never thought about. She didn't think his work actually came before her, no matter how much she joked about it at times. Above all, her father aside, she held Lev, and no matter how mad he made her, loving him and being loved in return was never questioned or doubted: even now. With no more than a few words and a cold glance, Lev managed to make her feel as though her entire world was suddenly crashing chaotically around her, all because she loved him with all her heart, and then some. Despite his apology, she still felt as though Lev didn't care, and it hurt her almost beyond words; normally she wouldn't have reacted so harshly, but out-of-whack hormones are notorious for over-emotional, and sometimes irrational, reactions. t a g Levy <3 w o r d count 568 n o t e - l y r i c s eminem Love the Way You Lie t e m p l a t e made by LiLi

Reality had hit him like a ton of bricks. Issy's sobbing made it clear that she was serious, and Lev hated himself for thinking otherwise. He never put his work ahead of her, but this time, he'd been caught up too much in what he was doing. Issy meant a whole lot more to him than his job, and so did a baby. There was no way that would ever change either, and Lev wanted her to know that. Yet, when he heard her words, he felt a sting of hurt as well. "No, Issy...I do care." He said to her. "And you're not a distraction in my life." She actually made his life better. She gave him something more to look forward to in the day. His life centered around her, and she was one of the happiest things to ever happen to him. Now that he had upset her though, he hoped that his words would comfort her, but there was no telling for sure.
Again, what he had said earlier was cold, and it was only now that he had realized it. So he took a step closer to her, putting a hand gently on her shoulder and moving around to where she could see him. Then he moved his hand to the side of her face, trying to keep her from crying any further. "I want this baby, more than anything else." He said to her. "And I'm sorry for what I said." It felt as if he couldn't apologize enough. He knew Issy had been looking forward to having his child, and now it was like he had just shattered it. Lev had been looking forward to a child as well, and still was. He didn't want Issy to think that he didn't care...that was the last thing he'd ever feel. Not caring for his own child, just wasn't possible for him. Being completely cold and heartless was something of his past, not the present.
So he kept his hand at her face, and his tone had completely changed. He was serious now, the unconscious man on the ground no longer mattered to him...at the moment. Of course, he'd have to do something about it sooner or later, but Issy was his main concern. He had obviously hurt her, something he never thought he'd do. Even if he hadn't meant it, it still felt horrible. So now as he waited for Issy's reply, it seemed like everything slowed down. Usually, people would be happy when they found out that they were having a baby. But again, Lev had hurt Issy by saying that he didn't believe her. Or really, by making her think that he didn't care when he really did. Tag: Issy Word count: 474 Notes: Nope Lyrics: Amour - Rammstein Template: Lycan

She wanted to leave and not look back. If disappearing, or going invisible, was possible she would have done so in a heart beat; but the most she had, other than her feet, was her wings but flying while hysterical didn't seem like the brightest idea; but Lev didn't give her much of a chance to truly contemplate either of her choices as he quickly responded to her retort. His words made her breath falter and her heart flutter, taking her quite off guard. In a matter of seconds she had herself convinced that Lev didn't care about her, or their baby. Dread didn't even come close to describing what had filled her in that moment, but Lev's words worked just as fast to lift her fallen heart; for the most part, that was how it always worked, whether or not she ever showed it. As angry as she could be with him, a mere apology and look could make her fury dwindle; but as much as his words calmed her, she rarely ever let him off the hook. Feigning irritation and annoyance, simply to get to Lev, was something she did often because she enjoyed it, whether or not it was wrong of her.
But this wasn't one of those times and the moment his words brushed passed his lips, her eyes brightened. The soft touch of his skin against hers, as his hand came to rest on the side of her face, made butterflies explode inside of her chest and a light blush dusted across her cheeks as she turned her eyes upward to gaze at Lev; his hand was pleasantly warm and she involuntarily nuzzled into it, not able to keep the pitiful smile that played over her lips; her throat tightened once more, and a half-cry-half-laugh wiggled it's way out of her throat. This time, however, the tears that threatened to spill from her eyes were from sheer elation. Relief tore down her body and she let out a staggering breath, one that she had not known she had even been holding in. His apology, his objection to her being a distraction, him wanting the baby: all of it made her heart swell with happiness.
She truly, completely, and without a doubt, loved Lev, and this was one of the reasons why. As much as his attitude annoyed her at times, and as annoying as he could be, his words could have the opposite effect on her: and that was something that no one, other than her father, was capable of. A light touch, a mere glance, and a simple word had the power to make her feel weak in the knees, and as annoying as it was, they could make her forgive him without hesitation. But there was no annoyance this time as she silently forgave him and stepped closer to him, closing the gap between them. If his apology hadn't worked on her, surely the look in his eyes would have; it looked as if he were almost in pain, like she had been only moments before. Her heart fluttered once more and her brows furrowed gently as she tilted her head. Seeing the hurt pass over his face made her lightly press into him, willing him not hurt. She didn't want him to hurt, nor did she want him to beat himself up for his cold words and attitude; he already apologized, and she wasn't about to let it keep eating him up inside. Yes, he had horribly upset her, but already it was in the back of her mind; Lev hurting was the last thing she wanted, even if he hadn't apologized.
“Levy, shhh.” She mewed softly, standing on the tip of her toes to bring herself closer to Lev. Issy smiled softly at Lev as her fingers clung gently to the material that lay over his clothes, protecting his clothes from the stains of retrieving whatever it was he sought inside the man's body. The man, despite how much she cared, was hardly worth her attention at the moment and she quickly batted his presence away as she focused purely on Lev. “Kiss me.” t a g Levy <3 w o r d count 695 n o t e - l y r i c s eminem Love the Way You Lie t e m p l a t e made by LiLi

Lev knew he had hurt her, and it was the worst feeling in the world. He'd much rather put himself through hell than have Issy feel this way ever again. Despite how much of an ass he could seem to be at times, and how much he argued with her, Issy was his life. He loved her dearly and nothing would change that. Not even Remy. Lev didn't care that her father hated them being together, and in a way, it only seemed to bring them closer together. At times, Issy would have to sneak away from Remy to be with Lev. It was a classic case of the rivalry between a father, and his daughter's boyfriend. This though, was amplified by a million. Yet, Remy wasn't around at the moment, and the thought of him hadn't even crossed Lev's mind. For now, he was focused on Issy and the baby. When he saw her smile, it brought him relief, like two ton weight had been lifted from his shoulders.
Then she pressed into him a bit, lightly grabbing onto the smock that he was wearing over his clothes. Usually, he would've taken that off because of the blood on it, but Issy didn't seem to mind. So as long as she was alright with it, he wouldn't bother. And with that, he smiled back at her words. This understanding between them, was another thing that he cherished about their relationship. They could argue with each other all they wanted, and he's even had Issy throw things at him before. In the end though, it didn't take much for them to forgive one another. If he was angry at her, he knew that deep down, he still loved her. And for Lev at least, he felt that it would always be that way. Even in the case of them breaking up for whatever reason, he had a feeling that he'd still love her. Issy was like an addiction, and being with her was the only cure.
After those last two words escaped her, he leaned into Issy a bit and pressed his lips to her's. Kissing her would never get old for him, and it was just as enjoyable now as it had been the first time. And at this moment, his happiness was boosted by the fact that he was going to be a father. He's helped to take care of plenty of kids in his life time, but never did he have one of his own. At times, he found himself wondering what it'd be like...and now he no longer had to wonder. It was soon due to become reality, and Lev already couldn't wait for his child. From tonight, on to whatever Issy's due date was, it would likely seem like an eternity. It was one of those moments where each day that passed, seemed to get longer. Though as long as he was with Issy, and knew he was a soon to be father, he could wait it out just fine.
Deepening the kiss a bit, Lev's hand remained at the side of her face. He loved savoring the moment, and it was a bit of a disappointment whenever one of them pulled away. And even though it wasn't likely for anyone to see them like this, he didn't care if there were. Kissing in public didn't matter to him. If they didn't like it, that was their own fault. Lev just made sure not to go overboard with it like some couples did. And now with the thought of a child on his mind, he didn't care who tried to stop him, if anyone dared to. Not even his boss would be able to do much at this moment in time. So if he bothered to call and check up on how Lev was doing with his work, he'd ignore it. After all, it wouldn't have been the first time that Lev ignored calls from his boss. Tag: Issy Word count: 688 Notes: Nope Lyrics: Amour - Rammstein Template: Lycan
