" Oh...I'm sorry." He finally hit him maybe this wasn't the best of subjects to bring up, but it didn't matter much now. " But still. They're only two." But he was right, hunters were after all, only human. And even if they did manage it, who knew how many lives would be lost.
" Of course they aren't." He said rather cheerfully. He slowed down slightly, looking back at him. " Um.. what did they do again?" He had yet to be told why they were hunting this particular group of Druids. He just knew there had to be reason ,something they did. Hunter 101 don't attack with out a legitimate reason. If they did that, they wouldn't be any better than most of the creatures they hunted. He picked up his pace again once his questions were answered, ready to get this show on the road.

That tension, and intolerance Lev had built up in the beginning, was quickly dying down. He was actually getting along with this kid, which was something he didn't expect. "Not your fault." He simply said when Lucien apologized. He knew that someone of that age was just curious in general, and Lev wasn't upset with him asking. It was when people knew better, yet still prodded him with questions, that he got pissed. He simply didn't like to talk about it much, unless it meant giving Remy more enemies. Still though, it was one of those bad memories that he wished would just go away.
"They're just trouble in general. Mugging people, stealing things, all that fun stuff." As far as Lev knew, that wasn't much. He's taken down much bigger prey before, but again, he was training someone, and they'd purposely given him something easy. So from there, Lev waited until the wind was practically non existent. Then he revealed a gun of his own, a Beretta 92FS Inox, and moved forward. "With this place being abandoned, you'll have to consider even the slightest noises." Lev advised.
If the buildings here didn't have anyone in them, they'd be dead quiet. However, Lev was certain that these druids were around, and sooner or later, it was likely that they'd give themselves away. Keeping as silent as he could, Lev made his way into one of the buildings, his gun lowered, but still ready to fire if he needed it. He was hoping that there wouldn't be too much trouble with the the hunt for tonight, since he had a pretty long day ahead of him tomorrow. In the morning, he was supposed to go after a vampire, and in the afternoon, he was asked to kill another, and get the company's tracker back.
Truthfully, Lev didn't really like getting them back from vampires. They were...well, dead. And when he did his own little surgery to get the trackers, it wasn't exactly the most pleasant of smells. That was for tomorrow though. Right now, he needed to focus on the druids. So he continued further into the building, his eyes scanning every inch of the area.

" Do we necessarily know that these are the ones that did all those things, though?" He looked back up too him, tilting his head slightly. He didn't want to accidentally kill someone who didn't deserve it. That wasn't what he was taught after all.If he managed to kill something at all. What if he got killed himself?? He was new to this after all. It was very possible... He gulped, and chewed his lip somewhat nervously.
" You'll be fine" He told himself. Still, he reached his hand into the inside pocket of his jacket, gripping the gun he had been given. Of course he'd be OK, he was ready for anything thrown at him. His hand fell back down to his side, and that's when he looked up to see a spider in his path. He jumped back with a loud cry, before quickly slapping a hand over his mouth. " oops" He said into his hand, looking up at Lev. He just gave away their positon.. this couldn't be a good thing.

"That's what the boss says." Lev explained. "And he's one of those types who doesn't like to be questioned." The guy could be pretty nice at times, but he also had a fierce side as well. There have been quite a few times where Lev's seen that side for himself, and it wasn't a pleasant experience. So to keep it away from it, Lev tried his best to do as he was told. It was just that sarcastic asshole part of his personality, that got him into trouble at times.
Continuing his way through the building, Lev stopped when he heard Lucien cry out. He turned around, to see that it was simply a spider. However, the druids had likely heard him, and now they knew they were here. This put Lev onto higher alert, and right then, was when he heard more movement in the building. The druids were moving, but to where, he wasn't sure of just yet. "Hell, now they know we're here." Lev said as he raised his gun. Then he continued forward still, not wanting to make himself and Lucien, sitting targets.
Now, there was no use in keeping quiet, and Lev moved faster to cover more ground. Just as he was about to turn a corner though, the noise came around behind them, and Lev quickly turned on his heel. His gun was now pointed directly at a druid, standing a few feet away from him. "You should be a little more quiet next time." The druid said with a smirk. Lev simply returned the smirk, not finding this intimidating at all. Druids were just as weak as humans, so he could kill him in one shot if he had to.
"And you should pick somewhere else to hang out, yes? We know this place quite well." Hunters actually came here often, looking for the trouble makers. With such a thing happening, you'd think the different species would find somewhere else to go. Apparently though, they hadn't. Or at least that was the case with these druids. And yes, that was plural. Lev was certain there were more around.

" But what if they weren't? Then we're going after these guys for no reason..."Though he guessed when the other guy, the bossed was concerned it was best just to keep his mouth shut.
" If sorfy" He said, his own hand still clapped over his mouth. He removed it " I'-Im sorry!" was all he managed to stutter out again before Lev started out down the corridor. Lucien followed quickly behind. The sound of their feet echoed as they hit the ground, the two picking up the pace. He was surprised he could hear anything with the blood pounding in his ears the way it was. But their footsteps weren't the only ones to be heard. They weren't the only ones in this building, just as suspected, and the situation just probably got bad.
They were just about to turn a corner when Lev suddenly turned around, pointing the gun passed him. Lucien slowley looked over his shoulder, before turning around completely to face the druid now. He gulped, quickly backing up a little, drawing the gun he had been given from his pocket. He wanted action... well he was getting it. The way his hand was shaking as he held the gun proved just how scared he was.
There as movement around them, an obvious sign there were more, plenty more.
"Remember their just like humans."
Yeah, humans that could strangle you with plants, and sick a horde of animals on you. Which these old building were probably over grown with plant life and infested with some animal life too. They were just like humans.. not... He took a few steps back, gulping. He looked at Lev, who was oddly calm. How could he be clam in a time like this!? Though he had been doing this allot longer.... though none of that did anythign to calm the boy's fear.

As Lev kept his gaze on the druid, he also took in his surroundings. It was best to know what was around you, so you could use them to your advantage if needed. And thankfully, there wasn't all too much plant life here, which meant the druids were limited in that option. "You can't be afraid of them." Lev said to Lucien. He had seen him shaking, and he knew that fear, could easily to lead to someone's downfall. Getting rid of your fears was one of the very first things Lev was taught back when he was training in Russia, and because he's dealt with all the species on numerous occasions before, he had no fear of them.
"Ah, so you have a noob with you." The druid said. Lev ignored him, and moved on to his own subject. "I'll give you five seconds to hurry up and do something, I don't have all night." He then moved his finger to the trigger of the gun, and his tone was completely serious. Somehow though, the druid still thought he was bluffing. "Or what Mr. Hunter?" He asked. "You know how many times I've come across people like you, only to -" And that was when Lev cut him short by pulling the trigger. A single round piercing right through the skull of the druid, and he hit the ground in a heap. "Time's up." Lev simply said.
He was aware though that the gunshot probably alerted the other druids to trouble, and he could hear them coming his way. "This is your opportunity." Lev explained to Lucien. "When they come, just point and shoot. They'll probably try and dodge though, so make good judgments. Watch how they move, and learn from it." He then pulled a knife from it's sheath, so he had a weapon in both hands. He wasn't sure how many druids there were, so he wasn't sure if only one gun would work.
As far as Lucien went, Lev had him covered. He wouldn't let anything to happen to him, and he'd keep a constant eye on him. Just then, he saw the druids. There were five in total, and they stopped at the entrance to the room. "Don't keep me waiting." Lev said with a smirk. And with that, the druids charged at them.

You cant be afraid of them Yeah right. he was scared out of his wits. He was a boy... how was supposed to not be?
He watched as the druid talked, obviously thinking they weren't actually going to do anything. It was then Lev pulled the trigger and the first shot was fired. The druid took a shot in the had and fell to the ground. Lucien stared at the body with wide eyes, barley hearing Lev's next words. but there wasn't too much time for shock. Footsteps echoed through the hall, the sign that more were coming. They showed up in the entrance. Five of them.
"Don't keep me waiting."
And it was on that cue they charged them. Lucien quickly raised his gun, firing a first shot. It missed ricocheting off the back wall. The second shot was better, hitting in the shoulder, the third shot hit a mark in the chest and the druid crumpled to the ground. Lucien took a few steps back, but again there as no time for shock or regret. There were still four more. Another one had gotten rather close, pulling out a knife. Lucien took another shot.

Once the druids charged, Lev readied himself for the attack. One came right at him, but as soon as he fired a shot, the druid dodged. It was closing in fast, and there was a second druid right behind him. As soon as they were close enough, Lev used his knife, stabbing the leading druid right in the gut, making him hunch forward. He used that moment, and fired past that druid to hit the second one with a bullet. The shot went straight through the neck, easily slicing through the jugular and puncturing anything in its way.
His victim collapsed, not yet dead, but struggling on the ground. So Lev pulled his knife free, and quickly followed up by putting the blade into the druid's skull. It crumbled to the ground, and now two of the four remaining druids were dead. One was still struggling, and Lev easily took care of that by shooting it in the head. This moment had proved that they weren't much better than humans. Faster, yes, but not by much. And with that, there was a single lone druid left, and Lev turned around to see it coming at Lucien.
Just in case, he aimed his gun at it, though it wasn't necessary. The shot Lucien fired, had found its target, going right through the chest. Once it hit the ground, things fell eerily silent. Still though, Lev smirked and looked at his trainee in front of him. "Well, that wasn't too bad, was it?" He was half joking, but he was also a bit serious. It might've been quite the experience for someone going through it for the first time, but it wasn't much for Lev. "Shall we move on to others, or is that enough for now?" Now he was being completely serious. He didn't want to overwhelm the kid, and if he's had enough with the druids, then that was fine with him.
If not, his boss had found a few other places with druids there, just in case. And after they had done this a few times, Lev would allow Lucien to take the lead, but he'd be right behind him to keep watch.

The druid that had lunged at him fell to the ground as the shot nailed him in the chest. They were all dead, in a matter of minutes. Lucien stood wide eyed,He heard Lev speak, and looked at him, barley even understanding a word he was saying. He was eerily silent fir a kid that was so chatty just moments before. So cheerful before. There were many thoughts rushing through his head, yet some how it didn't seem like none at all. There was a smirk on the older mans face face...was this amusing to him? How? " Y-your smirking..." The first sentence he mumbled. His eyes then traveled down to the blood on his hand from the one he stabbed. He tried to swallowed the bile that was rising in his throat.
He looked back down at the bodies in front of them, the one nearest, the one he had just killed, only seemed a few years older than himself. Seventeen, eighteen? He had just killed him. Maybe he was someones son, someones brother? Maybe they had done some bad things... but they had to have family too...didn't they? Even the creatures had families...otherwise they wouldn't still be around. He still didn't answer the question he was asked. He didn't think he could.. Honestly...he felt sick. Really sick.
He rounded the corner, out of sight , and threw up. He may have been acting like a weak little boy. Scared and emotional, but that's what he was. He was only thirteen, and he had just killed someone. Two people. He hadn't known it would be like this before, and during the actual fight there hadn't been anytime for fear and regret. Well.. now there was. He sunk back against the wall, leaning his head back against it. Still oddly silent.

Of course he was smirking. Lev loved this job, and even if he got a few cuts and scrapes here and there, he still found it fun. This is what he lived for, and he didn't plan to stop until the day he died. "It's a fun job." He said to Lucien. However, it wasn't fun all the time though. There were instances where he's had to deal with things that upset him, things such as children. In one case, a group of vampires had killed a child and drained the little girl of her blood, and that had pissed Lev off entirely. He managed to get a bit of vengeance for the girl though, slaughtering those vampires for what they had done.
Luckily, those cases weren't all too common, and he usually had to deal with things such as these druids. When he looked back at Lucien, he saw him run out and round the corner before throwing up. That took the smirk from Lev's face, and he gave the kid some time before following him out and seeing him sitting against the wall. Lev then sat next to him, making the situation a bit odd. Earlier, he was annoyed with having to train a kid, and now, he was acting like a friend. That's how he was with children though. He never stayed upset with them for very long, unless the kid was total brat.
"We can go back to the park if you'd rather." Lev offered. He didn't blame Lucien for reacting like this, and there probably weren't very many who could. He was only thirteen, and he'd just killed two people, while watching three others die. It was a common reaction for someone like him, and if needed, Lev would give him a few days to think things over. Hopefully, Lucien wouldn't turn away from the job after this, it simply took some getting used to. For Lev though, he was quite literally born into it, and grew up with it. It was all he did during his childhood, his teen years, and now into his adult life. For Lucien and other hunters though, he knew they likely didn't have such a thing happen with them.

Lucien glanced at him as he heard him come around the corner, eyes following him as he came around to sit next to him. It was rather odd, in the beginning he was treated like an annoying fly that could easily be brushed off, now he was being treated as a friend almost. He looked away from the older male once more " Killing is supposed to be fun?" He asked. Thirteen years old and he had already killed someone, two someones. Did that make him a murderer? Would his parents have wanted this? His voice cracked slightly, he was trying his best not to cry, he was already making enough of a fool out of himself to start crying too. He was stronger than that.. or was he? He wasn't sure. He wasn't sure of too much at the moment.
He fell silent again, eyes training in on a spot on the far wall, thinking. There were a few more moments of silence before he spoke again " E-ever since I was six years old, after my family died and I was saved by hunters, I wanted to be one..." He said quietly " I didn't want anyone else to lose their family... I wanted to protect people." Ever since he was six years old, he trained... but no amount of training could have prepared him for the reality of it all.The reality of taking another life.
He fell silent again, not answering at first. Thinking over this. He swallowed, green eyes moving back up to him. " I-I don't know...I-I will need to get used to this eventually right? Better now than later?" He didn't want to seem weak, he didn't want to seem like he wasn't cut out for the job. But maybe he wasn't? What if he wasn't too sure about it anymore? " I don't know..." He repeated.

Lev didn't answer that first question right off the bat. No, killing in itself wasn't fun, it was simply the adrenaline rush that came with it. He loved to hunt, and not once in his life has he seriously considered another job. Sure, he knew about the families of the people he killed, but he tried not to think about it. All of his targets had a reason why they died, and he's never had to claim an innocent life to date. For Lucien though, Lev was aware that he was new to this, and he'd allow them to stop hunting for the night.
As he listened in to the story though, it was becoming a little more clear to him, that this might not have been the job for Lucien. He was simply inspired by hunters, and people like that, were usually the ones who didn't look at the reality of hunting. It could be quite gruesome at times, much worse than what than what they'd done with these druids. So for awhile, Lev would take slow steps with Lucien, until he was ready to move on. "It'd probably be best for you to think it over for awhile." Lev said to him.
Hunters went through this kind of stuff everyday, and if he was given time, though still couldn't handle killing one or two people, then this probably wasn't for him. However, if Lucien wanted, he could probably help out the hunters in some other way once he got older. Back where Lev worked, they had people who worked in the office, tracing the different species who've had trackers put into them. Or, he could've helped out in the weapons department if he wanted something a bit more hands on. Though again, a job like that, wasn't in a thirteen year old's immediate future.
"Just think about it for awhile, and if you can get to a phone, you can call me if needed." He wasn't sure how often someone Lucien's age used phones, but phones weren't hard to access anyway. So if the kid ever needed something from Lev, whether it be a simple question, or an actual talk, Lev would be free to do so.

He was quiet for a moment, before giving a slow nod. Until now he didn't even need to think about it really. It was just what he always wanted to be. He had gotten through the basic training without to much difficulty, and he didn't think he'd have too much difficulty with this. Well... seems he was wrong.
" Lets just go back to the park..." He murmured, breaking the silence again. Honestly, right now he just wanted to get away from the place as soon as possible. With out even waiting for an answer, he pushed himself to his feet, brushed himself off and started walking. He was right.. he needed some time to think..and the best way to do that was to get as far away from this place as on as possible. His first kill.
Only a few minutes into walking he spoke again " a hunter's main job is to protect people right?" He asked " Humans... the creatures that try to live normally?" He asked. Hunters didn't go after innocents...which meant all the creatures weren't bad right? " Even if it does mean killing off the others..." He fell silent again, awaiting an answer.

After Lucien got up, Lev followed after him as they made their way out of the building. The place was dusty, and mostly abandoned. Lev still knew though that the shifters and weres came here often as well, so they could take care of the bodies. More than likely, they'd pick up on the smell, and make their way over here to investigate. That was why he didn't want to stay in this building for too long, more people, could easily mean more trouble. All those other species out there, never seemed to act too kindly towards hunters.
"It is." Lev explained when Lucien asked a question. "I don't know too much about other hunters, but where I work, we go after the troubled ones. Species doesn't matter to us. We even go after humans at times." All Lev really knew about other hunters, was that a lot of them, tended to be..."loose cannons" of sorts. They just killed whoever they wanted to, with or without a reason. According to the Bridgefield Union, that was one of the biggest mistakes you could make. If you killed an innocent, just because they were another species, it was much more likely that someone else would come after you for vengeance.
"You don't have to do this if you don't want to." Lev continued to say. When he was in Siberia, and training at that facility, he's come across a few kids who were forced to become hunters. And once you were in that place, there were only two ways to get out. One, was through completing your training entirely, and the second, was death. They were that secretive about it, but now that they were gone, it wasn't much of an issue anymore.
After a moment or two, Lev made his way out of the building, and it was nice to step into the cooler air outside. Being out here would probably help Lucien, though getting completely away from the abandoned buildings would help out even more.

It was for the right reasons right? It just wasn't senseles killing after all....right? He swallowed again. All he ever wanted to do was protect people.
" You don't have to do this if you don't want to."
For the most part he had a choice. He could have gone to a foster home and lived the life of a normal kid, but no.. he went into training, to become a hunter. He still had a choice now, he could still back out....but....how long was it before another kid lost his home, his family? There was probably hundreds that happened to every day...This was his chance to help prevent it.
" This is all I've ever wanted to be..." He mumbled " I do want too..." He said quietly. " I want to help, in any way I can, and this is the best way I can think of." He said
He was beginning to feel a little better now as they stepped out of the building, and the farther he walked from it, the clearer his thoughts became, and the less queasy his stomach got. He'd have to do some serious thinking on it, that's for sure.
