Rosie had woken up this morning with a large headache. It was pouring rain outside, and she wondered if she should get out from the comfort of her warm comforter or not. She couldn't decide when she heard her cell phone ring from the living room. It was on the table. She felt as though if she stood up, she would freeze, so she decided upon carrying her comforter with her. Now she had to get out of her bed. As soon as she sat up, she had the urge to dive under the covers again; fighting the urge, she stood up, and instantly her feet winced against the cold hardwood floors that covered her bedroom. She quickly fled out into the comfort of the long shaggy carpet in the living room, and rushed toward the coffee table where her phone was buried. She pulled it out, and on the last ring, answered. It was a bill collector. She ignored it and snapped her phone shut. She wasn't going to listen to what they had to say, today she just wanted to relax.
Next on Rosie's agenda was to get some Advil for her pounding headache. She quickly and quietly wandered out into the bathroom, and threw open the cupboard door. Inside there were many bottles of different medicine's, and toothpastes, and the works. She threw into the sink all the bottles that weren't her Advil. Finally, after most of the bottles had landed themselves into the sink, she found the bottle of Advil. Opening it up, she poured out two pills, and downed them dry throated. After choking them down, she rewandered into her Living Room, where she flicked on the small flat screen that was hung on her wall. It was on a news channel. Ignoring it, she walked her way into her kitchen, where she downed a cup of coffee, and where she got herself a bowl of cereal. After the ten minutes of time that it took for her to eat the cereal, she decided to go out. To China City, to be exact. She hadn't meandered their streets in a while, and she was hoping to get a deal on some cool Chinese wicker furniture. After she returned to the bathroom and started up the water, she looked in the mirror, which opened into the cupboard. Her eyes weren't bloodshot, like they were most mornings, and the bags she normally had under her eyes were gone. She was proud of herself.
After twenty minutes of showering, she took the door adjoining to her bedroom and got dressed. Dressed in a pair of cameo Capri's and a plain black tank top, with Nike running shoes. She carried an umbrella with her, even though the rain was lightening up to a light drizzle. She hadn't payed enough attention to the news to know if it was supposed to regain the heavy rain that had begun hours earlier when most normal human beings were asleep in their beds. Not that Rosie didn't sleep at that time too, she just normally was too hooked on watching a movie, or finishing a book to really pay attention to the time. Just to be sure, she grabbed a small bag that had a strap long enough that she could hook it around the opposite shoulder, and dropped her wallet, phone, and the bottle of Advil into it, in case she needed to add more headache depressant into her system. She opened up her front door, and stepped out into the hallway of the apartment block she lived in, which was indeed, very close to China City.
Rosie stepped into the elevator, and pressed the lobby button. She hoped the person at the desk wasn't the jerk who was there last night, she didn't really appreciate the way he got mad at her for trying to use the elevator. Her mind flashed back to the memory of him yelling at her to use the stairs, that the elevator wasn't for hoodlums like herself. It was almost funny enough for her to laugh at, if she hadn't had a late night caring for her sick Washia. Brushing her poor sickly lion cub from her mind, she wandered out into the lobby, where the nice lobby man was there. He smiled at her and told her to have a nice day, and she waved at him. Rosie was too polite sometimes. She stepped out of the revolving door and stretched. It was a nice day, cloudy, but nice. She loved rain, but it gave her headaches. Too bad. She smiled, and then begun to walk down toward where the Chinese voices were yelling out words that Rosie didn't understand. By the time that she got to China City, it around noon, and she was getting hungry. Ignoring the pangs in her stomach, she continued to wander, searching for a good store with a sale going on so she could begin her shopping. She wanted to be able to buy one thing before going to eat, that was how it always was with her.
