The bar reeked of booze and boisterous voices filled the air to the point where it was nearly suffocating; but Ciaran didn't mind in the least. It was an escape from the stress and the thoughts. The rank and the drunken fools, stumbling around the pool tables or climbing up onto the stage and claiming it as theirs, was welcoming. With alcohol and mic stands, people rarely ever paid attention to him as he sat at the bar sipping at water and enjoying his time before going home. It wasn't that he hated being alone because of the dark fingers of loneliness, he hated being alone with himself. Without the cover of people, the motivation to hide himself from the world, it was hard not to give in to the temptation to use the abilities that plagued him.
He wished, ever since he were a child, that he were different in a normal sense. While the other children wished to be special, Ciaran wished to be like his twin: hindered by doors, and weighted by the monotonous drags of having to physically move about to get what he wanted. His mother lived in fear of being found out by hunters, and now the worry was his own. Ciaran moved uncomfortably on his stool as he ran a hand through his anything-but-neat hair. He'd gladly give up his abilities in exchange for a normal life.
But the closest he could get to normal was hiding from himself in bars, sipping water until his body screamed for sleep. Long hours at the hospital was never enough, no matter how many days he stayed awake. Ciaran's gray gaze traced the lines and scratches etched into the counter top as he listened, intently, to the voices and laughter bellowing around him. A small smile flitted over his lips; it was silly, but he was jealous of them all.

Billie Robinson thought that tonight would be a good night to just relax and spend a little bit of the money that she had on something that wasn't going to be used for killing some non-human thing. Even if it didn't always seem that way, Billie wasn't the out of control killing machine that she was always made out to be, and that image was mostly her doing. She didn't want any trouble, and well, she liked to be feared, it made her feel so much better about herself. But she did enjoy the occasional drink, and the night for that occasional drink was this very one. She had chosen It's Your Entertainment to be the very location for it, mainly because she came here often and knew most of the workers, though she would never put her life in their hands, she just would be nice and more like the girl she longed to be while there on a casual night.
Billie wasn't one to generally get too drunk, but there was occasion, like everything else. Drinking was something that she did enjoy doing, but she had to keep her guard up to an extent, she was cautious and that cautious part of her was lessened with every drink she had. So she was not planning on drinking too much. She had came tonight dressed in a simple pair of dark denim jeans with a loose white tee over the top. She had her slightly wavy hair out and it extended to roughly half way down her back. She wore simple black boots with a slight heel on them, and she had the slightest bit of make-up on, just to highlight her eyes.
As she walked in, a man walked into her, "watch it," she said as he walked away from her. She shook her head when he didn't reply and continued to the bar. When she got close, she passed a couple who were dancing, and they danced right into her, knocking her right into some man who was sitting at the bar. "Fucking hell, watch what you're fucking doing eh! Seriously." The couple just gave her an evil look and continued dancing away. Billie rolled her eyes, and slipped in next the the guy that she had been so rudely knocked into. "Sorry about that. Some people." She said to him, while deciding what to order.
notes, bleh! this post is terrible. and sorry for the wait.
