Today had started out like usual for Lev. Show up to work, get your list of "assignments", and then go out to make those hunts. However, instead of being told to kill someone, Lev actually had a werecat he had to tag. When it came to The Bridgefield Union, tagging was simply implanting a tracker into a person so you could know where they were. This particular werecat, a tiger to be exact, had been known to cause numerous issues around town. Lev's boss wanted to keep track of them, and it also helped to know were werecats usually hung out. That being said, Lev was told not to kill this one unless it was his last resort. Personally, that upset him a bit, since he couldn't stand the cocky type who thought they were all high and mighty. And by the looks of things, this werecat seemed that way.
As always though, Lev wasn't going anywhere unarmed. He had the usual gun, loaded with silver bullets and strapped to his thigh. He also had a second gun as backup, extra ammo, a knife, and a tranquilizer to knock out the little kitty when he could. Then of course, he had an injection gun as well, and that was where the tracker was at the moment. All of those items were hidden under a jacket he wore though, and right now, he looked like any other person walking along the street. For about five minutes, he was amongst other people as he made his way towards a building where it was said this weretiger liked to go sometimes. Then another five or six minutes passed, and the number of people was starting to down. Sure, it was Lakeshore...a busy place, but it had its fair share of quieter areas. This happened to be one of them, and it wasn't long before Lev got to the building he was looking for.
Drawing his gun, he walked inside and made sure to take light steps. He didn't want to give any early warnings if the tiger was here, but hell, whoever it was, could probably sense him anyway. It was better just to take precaution though, and Lev was being as careful as possible. For a moment or two, he searched the building, scanning every single inch of it. Then out of the corner of his eye, he saw a shadow pass by. It was the shadow of a woman, but within seconds, she had shifted, and the shadow now showed a large cat. From there, he wasn't given much time before he heard a growl, followed by the tigress lunging into the air and in his direction. Lucky for him, she didn't seem too fast in this form, and he was able to dodge her attack. "No need to be so rude about it." He said to her after she landed on all fours. "All I needed was a simple little talk with you."
Again, he wasn't given much time from there before she shortened the distance between them in a sprint, and lunged again. Lev dodged once more, but while the tigress was in the air, he aimed his gun and fired a single shot. The round found its mark into the left rear leg, and upon landing, she managed to keep her footing. Lev smirked, but he knew he didn't have much time. That wound would heal rather quickly, not instantly, but still quickly. So to give himself more movement, he removed his jacket and dropped it to the ground. "Feisty one, aren't we?" Lev said, that smirk still on his face. "Tell you what, I know you kittens don't like guns, so how about I take that out of the equation for you?" After that, he tossed both his main gun, and the spare gun to the ground as well.
He still had his knife with him though, and that's what he drew upon ridding himself of the guns. Now came a growl from the werecat, but it didn't phase him. In fact, he got closer, practically a death wish. Yet, Lev had a plan, and he knew what he was doing. It was a big risk, but he was willing to take it to get the job done. Just as he had expected, the tigress lept again once he was close enough. Right at that second, Lev turned his body to avoid her jaws, and his hand went up with the knife as the blade pierced right underneith the heart. He didn't get away from that unscathed. The claws of that large cat had scrapped across his arm as he held the knife. It stung like all hell, and felt as if his whole arm were on fire, but he didn't let it stop him. As the werecat landed on the ground, she collapsed for a moment, though Lev knew she'd heal from that as well. So he quickly pulled out the small tranquilizer gun he had, and fired a few of the darts into the cat.
Looking at her as she began to fade from the tranqs, he managed to make a joke out of the situation. That was typical of him though. "Healing happens to be one of the few abilities that you fuckers have, and that I'd like to have as well." After he'd said that, the tigress fell into unconsciousness, and Lev sheathed the knife. Then he walked over to the cat, put a knee to her, and unveiled the injection gun. "Sorry love, boss's orders." He said, to her. And with that, he injected the tracker into her thigh. He then stood back up, picked up the guns he had thrown to the floor, and reholstered all of his weapons. As far as his arm went, it was cut up, but he wasn't all too concerned about it. He just didn't want to bleed everywhere, so he walked around the building to see what he could find. Before long, he found an old shirt lying on the ground, and tore that up some before tying it around his arm. He then picked up his jacket, put it back on, and left the building. He'd been told other hunters were after this werecat...so hopefully, he hadn't just made someone's job easier by sedating the weretiger. Not to mention that his boss didn't want her dead. Then again, not too many people came out to this part of Lakeshore, so he wasn't too worried about it. For now though, he just needed to head back to the main building where the Bridgefield Union stayed. It'd been a rather long day, and he needed time to relax.
