With a huge sigh, Shiloh slipped on the new shoes that she had gotten from the Red Creek Mall, she couldn’t believe she was about to do this. The red-headed girl was about to go to some rave because she had gotten a hint that some up at the top demons and such would be there. She didn’t really want to go, but she figured that maybe if she was able to take one out, she’d be good. She doubted that that would happen this night, so she was just going there to scoop out the place, and see what the damage was. Shiloh had heard that this was the place to go if you wanted a good time that you wouldn’t remember when you woke up. Sadly, Shiloh didn’t want that, she wasn’t like most teenagers, she never really had the desire to party like a crazy person or anything of the sorts. She was fixed on things that most normal teens would only read in the books or see in the movies. Honestly, Shiloh didn’t know how these people didn’t see some of the stuff that went on in the world. She knew that they saw them, but they chose to ignore it and write it off as something different then what it really was. Maybe it was because Shiloh had been trained to see the different things, the things that stood out. Kind of like when a cop was a t a crime scene and he caught something that stood out, but a normal person wouldn’t be able to tell that it was there. Shiloh brushed out her hair quickly, making sure it looked okay, then left the little hotel room she had.
Shiloh wasn’t one to keep up with her looks, it just wasn’t part of the job description. She didn’t have time to keep up with it, on most days, she threw up her hair. Sometimes she’d leave it down, but if she ever got into a fight, she didn’t want someone to have the advantage of pulling out her hair. That would hurt like a bitch, and she wasn’t having her awesome hair being pulled out. She didn’t care who you were, you were going to die if you touched her hair. Shiloh could tell she was going to have a difficult time walking in these shoes, but she could manage for the night she hoped. It took her twenty minutes actually get to the supposed place where this rave was, she didn’t really know if she’d get in. She didn’t know anything about this place, whether it was run by demons or something, and well, lets just say if it was, she’d be a dead girl. Slowly Shiloh walked up to One Step Beyond, and smiled at the guy in the front of the ropes. He sort of gave her a strange look, like he was trying to figure out her game was. She had never been here before, and he was probably thinking that she was a cop. Maybe something, but really Shiloh was just a little human girl looking some fun.
Within five minutes of his slow brain thinking, the guy finally let Shiloh into the place. It wasn’t anything like she had seen before. There were different color lights everywhere, and people dancing close together and other people doing drugs and stuff. Shiloh weaved her body in and out of people and up to a drink counter. She ordered a shot of vodka because she was really needed it. She gulped it down, and turned to look out at the crowd, she could tell that there were few other creatures here, but that didn’t surprise her. She was sure that vamps came here to score a victim or two, people here were easy. Instead of mingling, Shiloh walked towards the back, and leaned up against the wall and watched as the people made stupid idiots of themselves.
