••• Overall Personality:

Niko isn't someone you'd enjoy being around for long. He thrives on people's fear and their lack of knowledge about his kind. For this, he's quite evil, often fooling people into believing that he's like any other person out on the street. When he has you where he wants you, he'll turn on you in an instant, all to simply feed and fulfill his need to kill. He's relentless in what he does as well, only stopping when he's reached his own satisfaction or goal. That on mind, he knows he's a bit more advanced as the very first Reaper, and he uses that to his advantage. Niko likes to take control of things, however, he doesn't really look at himself like a "leader" that much. From time to time, he'll try and take up that role, but for the most part, he just sits back and does his own thing. It's only in certain situations that he likes control. Otherwise, he just doesn't give a damn.

As for his anger, it's mostly directed at the hunters. They were the ones who rejected him, and he wants revenge on them. Another portion of his anger goes towards vampires and sirens. In his opinion, their kind was put back to replace him. He knows that he was supposed to be better than them, but after he was forsaken, the hunters held the vampires and sirens above him. It's jealously really, but it's recommended that you don't tell him that.

••• Distinguishing Marks: The typical things for a Reaper. His eye color is a blueish white, and he also has that scar on his chin.

••• Overall Appearance:

Take a look at Niko when he isn't trying to disguise his appearance, and you'll notice that he's a lot different. He isn't pale like the rest of the Reapers, but the irises of his eyes are white with a normal black pupil. In the darkness, his eyes can appear to be a very light blue. If hungry and needing to feed, dark circles can appear around his eyes. It tends to make him stand out more, which is why he feeds often. Like all other Reapers, Niko also has a few sharper teeth that what you'd see with a human being. And because he's related to the vampires, and most vampires don't have elongated canines, neither does he. Then of course, there's the scar he has, which is a characteristic of Reapers.

To try and blend in with society when he needs to though, Niko always wears a coat and/or jacket out in the public. He keeps the hood up to cover the obvious features that show he isn't human. And because he hardly goes out into the sunlight, he doesn't worry much about covering his eyes.

Guess I'll start by giving you a back story. Some time ago, when The Goddess came to the Earth to give a piece of herself to the humans, their greed took over. Like usual, all they wanted was more. More power, more control. In her anger, she made the promise that one day, all of that would come back to bite them in the ass. And it did. When one man abused his powers from a vial of blood that the Goddess had given, she cursed him and turned him into a vampire. This man now craved blood and always lived with thirst, but when it became a pandemic, the humans took a step of their own. They turned to creation. This new species or being of their's had to have all the strengths of vampires while also being immune to the weaknesses. After years of work, more species showed up, but the humans finally finished their little experiment. And that's when I was born along with other reapers.

To the humans, I was their tool, and those greedy and ignorant bastards treated me like a tool too. It was always "Niko we need you to do this. Niko, we need you to do that." Their greed was so obvious and up front, that you couldn't possibly deny it. Everything that I did had to be done for them in their advantage. And did I ever get anything in return? Of course not. It was all about them and getting their stuff done. They were strict too, not wanting me to feed from any human beings. They thought that if others saw me feeding from humans, they'd think I was some reckless and careless freak in their little group against the vampires. Not to mention the fact that it'd cause outrage. Humans are so damn attached to one another. If I kill a human, they'd want to kill me. Speaking for the general public of course.

The one weakness I had though that I shared with the vampires, and that the humans didn't like, was that I couldn't go out into the sunlight. To reapers, sunlight is blinding. And if we stay out in it for too long, it'll literally burn us. While humans thought I was a partial failure of their experiment for that, they didn't see it as too much an issue. Vampires only come out during the night anyway, which was good for us, or them rather, as in the humans. Before long though, I realized just how much stronger I was then vampires. If I could bite and turn people into reapers, I had the idea that we'd be a force to be reckoned with. So I guess you could say I got power hungry. Although it was more along the lines of being fed up with the humans and their constant demands as well as their arrogance and stupidity.

At that point, I turned against them and went rogue. When I was with them, they didn't want me turning anyone in fear of what other reapers might be like. They had no idea if they'd be good or bad. So after I abandoned the humans, I began making more reapers by biting and turning people. Now the humans had not only the vampires and other species to fight against, but reapers as well. And the thing about the reaper virus, is that everyone reacts differently to it. Some of them were able to cope well with it, keeping their ability to speak, think, and plan. Others though, lost all of their higher functions. All they could do was speak, in a form of vampire like screeches to one another. The one thing that stayed consistent with every single reaper though, was that all seemed "bad". Once turned into a reaper, a person loses all of their conscious. Friends were no longer friends. They were just someone to feed on or someone to kill.

Like the others, I also spent most of my time during the daylight hours in the abandoned subway tunnels. No light would ever get down there, and every so often, some idiot would wander down, only to be killed and drained by a reaper.
