Off looking for a meal again, Niko had decided to take to the alleyways. He knew this place was just buzzing with trouble, especially at night. Drug dealers, muggers, prostitutes, they were all around somewhere. Niko wasn't concerned though. If anyone tried to attack him, he could definitely hold his own. And as far as feeding off of one of these drugged up whack jobs, he wasn't concerned about that either. It was likely that some of them had some sort of drugs running through their veins, but if any of it got into him, his body would take care of it. So for him, it was safe to feed off of anybody and everybody. Going into one of the alleys, Niko stopped about half way and leaned back against the way. Sooner or later, he was certain that he'd get someone to come along. And like usual, he was walking around in a coat, with the hood up to keep his face darkened some.
Every so often, someone would walk by, but not even bother to slow down. Then it was about five minutes later, that one of them caught his attention. Niko could sense that the guy was a human, walking by at a bit of a slower pace. It also seemed like he was studying him, which was the part that caught Niko's attention. Looking back at him and capturing his gaze, the human kept looking for a moment before turning his head and shifting his eyes somewhere else. It gave him the feeling that this human was a hunter...checking on and sizing up their prey. After the hunter left, it wasn't long before Niko sensed him being around once again. And after a few moments, he came walking back down the alley. Stopping in front of Niko, the hunter spoke from there. "Have any goodies for me?" He asked, obviously trying to look like a buyer.
Niko kept his head down some, wanting to keep from being seen directly. "No...why would I?" He said to him. "I was hoping you could help me with my problem." The hunter paused for a moment. "But I think you've got a problem of your own now..." And with that, he revealed a gun and pointed it at Niko. "I know what you are. Don't try to hide it...vampire." This hunter seemed new to things, and Niko couldn't help help but utter a low snicker. "I'm not a vampire." He replied. "Oh? What are you then?" Niko paused as well, leaving a short silence. "Something worse." He then took a few steps closer, prompting the hunter to raise his gun. "Something....much worse."
Niko then batted the gun away and took the hunter by the neck, before opening his mouth into that split with a snarl. The man's eyes grew wide for a moment, and Niko forced his head back to expose the flesh of his throat. Then he bit down on the soft skin, the blood flowing freely out of the freshly pierced veins. After falling limp in Niko's arms, the man's body began to convulse, forcing Niko to throw it down and hold it to the ground. He then bit into the throat again, draining his victim completely to keep him from turning. Once finished, Niko stood up and immediately began to walk out of the alley. He'd leave the body for someone else to find, but it wouldn't be too much of a surprise. The blood may be, but not the body itself. Tons of muggings and murders happened around here, so it'd blend in pretty well.

Lucien hated how they still treated him like a kid sometimes. He comes all the way out here with both Lev and Kirril to do one, rather easy job of taking down a few vampires, and then he's sent home as they get to the fun stuff. He was 16 now. He could handle it. Apparently they didn't think he was quite ready yet, despite the fact he was quickly nearing the end of his training. Pretty soon he'd be considered a full fledged hunter. His day would come, or at least that's how Lev put it. He wished it'd come sooner though.
Its not like walking through this place by himself this late was any safer either, but he had become pretty confident in his ability to hold his own. Once he may have been a little afraid, but now he wasn't. He had changed allot from the little 14 year old who lost his dinner after his first kill, or who got caught by Saben Renner. Even then he survived ( well ,thanks to Lev). perhaps it was slightly arrogant and cocky. Perhaps arrogance and cockiness could get him in trouble.
It was as he was walking through the back alleys, he heard a noise. Voices? Curiosity ever getting the better of him, he quickened his pace, following the sound until he saw the two. He quickly pressed back against the adjoining alley. A hunter, and a creature? Vampire? But oh no....That creature affirmed that wasn't what he was. What was he then?
It was then that mouth opened up horrifically wide. As he took the first bite, the man went into convulsions on the ground. It was then the creature held him down, drinking until the man went limp. similar to a vampire....A really fucked up vampire. It was something he never seen before.
And now that he was done with that victim, he'd probably realized the possible one behind the wall. His first instinct was to run, but previous experience with non-humans, out running them was near impossible. Plus it could be a chance to prove himself. He stepped out into the open, brandishing a hand gun he had picked up not long after his run in with Saben. He'd also picked up a larger knife since then, which, when he was wearing his jacket, which was normally, he kept tucked away in a sheath on his forearm. He was becoming more more and more like a hunter.
Was he getting in over his head? Probably. But that didn't seem to cross his mind. Teenage boys were of course, recklessly stupid after all. He was no exception

The taste of human blood was nice, but Niko preferred the blood of vampires. While a human's tasted sweeter, a vampire's had a little more kick to it. It was like a spiced up version of blood, and what helped was the satisfaction that he got from killing those damn leeches. They, along with the hunters, were the people he despised the most. He was thrown away as a reject, not meeting the standards that the hunters wanted. Well, now that he was back in the city, he was out to get his revenge. Sure, the hunters of today had never known about him and what happened, but that didn't mean he couldn't take his anger out on them. His plan was for the Reaper species to grow, and shock anyone living in the city. If things stayed the way he wanted them to, then there was also the chance that they'd expand outside the city, just like all the other species.
For the time being though, there were still only a few handfuls or Reapers running around. And Niko took advantage of that, by savoring people's lack of awareness. He always found it humorous to see their expressions when they saw what he was. So as he walked out of the alleyway, Niko planned to find himself a new victim. However, when he sensed another human enter the alley, he slowed his pace before coming to a stop. Had that first hunter brought someone along? Turning around, Niko gazed at the teenager. It was obvious that he was human, so his appearance gave way to an age range. Niko guessed the kid was somewhere in his teens. "A bit young to be doing such a thing, aren't we?" He asked. Then he began to walk closer to him, almost as if daring the hunter to shoot.
If he did, Niko would be ready for it. Like all Reapers, he was faster and stronger than the vampires and sirens. Not to mention that he could crawl on walls. So restricted space wasn't much a problem to him. Shoot at him, and he's simply used his adherence to his advantage. That being said, bullets were much of a problem either. He could heal within seconds, including shots to head. His heart was protected as well, and his only weak spot was at his sides...which he didn't make easy to get to. "You hunters still seem to be making tragic mistakes." Niko said. It didn't surprise him though that they trained hunters young. They always did so, even when they first started showing up. And to kill the young ones, was another goal for Niko. Take them out early, and they wouldn't be a problem in the future. That idea, was what was resting in his mind at the moment, as he continued his pace towards the young hunter.

As expected, the creature sensed him. The thing turned around, seeming to be assessing him, before rather swiftly walking towards him. The teenager took a stance, gun still in hand, pointed at the being. " A little young to do such a thing aren't we?" " You wanna take a bet on that?" The boy retorted Though the confidence with the way the beast strode toward him was a little unnerving. His own confidence wavered slightly, a flash of an old, more timid demeanor being shown, but it was quickly pushed aside. " What are you? " Very similar to a vampire or siren, yet somehow different. The way it had opened its mouth, the jerking of the man's body, very different He had yet too see or here anything like it. As a hunter, he was supposed to know every non-human there was, and their weakness. Though Hunter training hadn't quite gone over anythign like it either. Still, nothing he couldn't handle right? He sure hoped so.
Still though the beast continued to stride towards him, unafraid of the weapon in his hand. The boy's own fear was starting to grow slightly, as much as he tried to hide it, and he took a step back. There probably could've been a better way to handle this situation. like getting the heck out of there when he had first stumbled across the scene. Though ,that would label him as a coward thoguh wouldn't it?
Lucien wasn't about to let him any closer. He aimed the gun at the head, a generally good area when trying to kill anything. He willed the tremor of his hand to stop as the odd man came closer, before pulling his finger back on the trigger, a loud bang echoing through the alley.

Hearing the boy's words, Niko uttered another snicker. They would obviously put confidence into hunters during their training, and it was definitely showing. "Why take a bet? I already know so." He said in response. "You're only human, and a kid at that." Compared to the species who ran around this city, hunters weren't much at all. True, they trained specifically to find and kill supernatural beings, but those supernatural beings learned from it. They could learn their tactics and learn ways around them, thus making a hunter's skills useless at times. And the fact that this kid was only just that...a kid, meant that he wasn't as skilled as some of the others who were around. Or at least that's how things usually were. Niko didn't know, nor did he care, what they taught them these days.
Taking in the human's next question, he knew it was something he was going to be asked a lot by others. "What am I?" Niko said, repeating the question. "I, am what you call a Reaper." Now that he knew the name, it was possible that he's heard it before. Word was spreading around the city about them, but not very many people knew yet. And as far as actual information, all that was known was the obvious stuff. Things such as how their mouth could open in a split, the fact that they could walk on walls, all the simple stuff. Weaknesses on the other hand, were still unknown and had to be figured out. So as he continued to walk towards the hunter, he didn't expect him to do much. And as the kid held the gun in trembling hands, Niko was proven right when he pulled the trigger.
After the bullet left the gun, it struck Niko in the head, causing him to take a few steps back. Instead of crumbling to the ground like most would though, he simply hunched over some and put a hand to his head. Spitting out a few obscenities, he clearly wasn't pleased with what had just happened, but that was pretty much the extent of it. "God, you stupid fucking hunter." He said to him, his hand to his head. "Those don't tickle, you know." After taking those quick few moments to recover, he removed his hand and looked back at the hunter. The wound that had been there earlier, was now completely healed. Head shots, on any Reaper, would prove useless. They could be painful though, and if a shot was placed right, it could make a Reaper's vision blur, but only for a few seconds.

" I can handle myself rather well" Perhaps not so much without some sort of weapon in his hand. Perhaps not as well as someone with more experience as he. Though would he admit to that? Probably not. The thing double over, letting out a string of curses. Though obviously...it wasn't dead. It was then as he moved his hand away, he could see the wound healing. Healing quicker than even allot of Angels. Lucien bit his lip nervously. Apparently shots to the head wouldn't work on this guy.
What had he said he was? A Reaper? What the hell was that? Certainly never anything he had gone over in training. It sounded slightly familiar though. Thee had been a buzz around town. Pale skin like a vampire. Split lip that allows there mouth to open impossible wide. Walking on walls. It seemed to always be brushed off as rumors so Lucien never paid much mind to it either. Perhaps he should have. Perhaps many should have. Like the hunter the guy just killed. it could've saved him.. maybe.
They may not tickle, but he was about to receive another one. Perhaps now would be a good tie for the boy to run, but he didn't. He tried for another place that was usually an extremity. As the thing stood back up, he retrained the gun towards its heart, hand starting to shake once more, before once again firing it off. Two shots this time, for good measure.

"That's what all hunters say." Niko said in response to the human. "Especially the young ones." Unfortunately for them, most of them were no match at all for supernatural species. Granted, Niko hasn't been around on the streets for too long, but he's still seen others play games with the hunters. In one instance, there was a lycan who had purposely lowered his efforts, just to make it seem like the hunter was giving him a hard time. Then when the moment was right, it struck and killed the pathetic human being in mere moments. Niko didn't often play games like that, but when he did, he never kept it up for long. He had a tendency to be quite bossy and wanting to get straight to the point of things. And when it came to this situation, he lost interest in playing games as soon as that shot was fired at his head.
What was about to make things worse, or more amusing to Niko really, was when the young hunter raised the gun once more. It was trained at his heart, prompting a slight smirk from the Reaper. "Go ahead and do it." Right after speaking those words, he heard the gun go off twice, both bullets entering his chest. However, they hit the bone around his heart, rendering the shots useless. Looking down at the wounds for a moment, Niko watched as they healed within seconds, before snickering and switching his gaze back to the human. "You hunters need to learn that that doesn't work on us." And as one could guess, Niko wasn't about to let anyone know what his weaknesses were. He'd let them figure that out on their own, and when they found out, he'd find the challenge fun.
"You're just wasting bullets." He added in. And it was no lie. Unless he was shot at from the side, bullets didn't stand a chance. Even then, they had to pierce his heart to work. Not to mention that he could move fast, making the situation even harder. So this kid could shoot all he wanted, Niko would just keep dodging all the shots. And he knew as well as anyone, that a hunter without a loaded gun was pretty much dead meat...quite literally in some cases. The problem there though, was that not all hunters were stupid enough to waste bullets. Niko just hoped that this kid wouldn't know any better. So with those thoughts on mind, he took a few more steps forward, continuing his advance on the young hunter. As he did so though, Niko was aware that he was likely carrying something other than a gun, such a knife. So he was ready for that as well, keeping an eye on the hunter's movements.
