Like usual, Niko was out and about doing his usual thing. Recently though, he's been attacking more humans that anything, and he wanted to change that for a bit. Vampires were a species he hated just as much, so they had become his new target. Walking along Heman street with the hood of his coat up, he scanned the area for any potential victims. So far, he hadn't sensed a single vampire yet, but he had enough patience to wait. As long as he got to kill, or even turn one of them, it was all worth it. So with those thoughts on his mind, he waited. Sooner or later, a vampire was bound to come along. Heman street was a bad place, and everyone knew that. Chances were, that if a vampire came by, they'd be looking for trouble. To Niko, that just made things even better. To make an attacker into a victim, was something he enjoyed quite often.
And as those thoughts crossed his mind, he was distracted when he sensed one of the undead. His patience had paid off, and now he was about to get what he wanted. Sitting down at a bench, Niko already had a plan in mind. With the coat and other stuff that he was wearing, he could quite easily pass as someone homeless, but that was the whole idea. To trick people in his own trap, and then feed to his desire. This situation was no different, and he could sense the vampire getting closer. When he heard a hiss, Niko went into his game plan. Quickly looking over to his left, he made it seem as if he were frightened, and had no idea as to what was going on. Then he pulled his jacket tighter and looked the other way. The vamp was nowhere in site, but he knew he was around. And more than likely, it knew he wasn't human either. But that didn't always stop them.
He then heard another hiss, and looked around once more. From there, Niko stood up and began to walk off, but was quickly cut off by the vampire who darted into his path. "Going somewhere?" It asked with that same hiss in its tone. It made Niko want to laugh, thinking how ridiculous it was, but he had to keep with his act. Stopping in his tracks, he looked at the being, trying to seem as frightened as possible. "I'm just going home is all." He said in response. Then he turned around and began to walk the other way, only to have the vampire dart into his path again. "You might need to have a change of plans then." It said to him. Then he grinned, those razor sharp teeth becoming completely obvious. Niko had no need to see them though. He knew from the beginning what this leech was.
But after it uttered those words, Niko began to snicker. The smile from the vampire's face faded away, and it glared at him. "I think you're the one who's about to have their plans changed." He said to the vampire. And with that, he took it by the throat, and the vamp was quick to pull a weapon on him. A gun was now present, but Niko didn't do a damn thing. Taking the opportunity, the vamp fired a few rounds into Niko's chest, only to hear him snicker once again. Grabbing the end of the gun and twisting his victim's hand around, he locked gazes with him, his other hand still latched around his throat. "When are you idiots going to learn that that doesn't work against me? Or any other Reaper for that matter."
From that point, Niko didn't waste any time. He bit into the vampire's throat, the blood flowing in like a fountain. Within moments, his victim fell limp and Niko was forced to hold him up. He didn't care though, as long as he got to taste their blood. And before long, Niko was satisfied that he had drained the vamp of enough blood to keep him from turning. So he dropped the body in the street, and continued on his way. There may have been blood around his mouth now, but that no longer mattered. He was done playing innocent for now, and would resort to the more traditional method of just plain attacking. So Niko turned a corner into the darkness, and began his search for a new victim. I'VE BEEN BURRIED IN THE SAND I'VE COME DOWN WITH NO PLACE TOland i don't need you to understand it's not what i had planned allTHE HUNGER ALL THE YEARNING WITH THE LIFELINE THAT YOU'RE Heman Street was nothing to be worried about, well not to Sam anyway. She wasn't scared of anything, well almost anything. Some would say that she was slightly over-confident with her abilities and such, and well she was. She could burn anything, but that didn't mean that she was indestructible. Okay so she didn't actually think that she was indestructible, but she did think that she could get away with so much more than she could. One day she was going to stumble and get caught, and it could cost her a lot, she had it coming for her.
Tonight she was dressed in a black and white dress, a pair of black pumps and had a small black clutch. Some may have mistook her for something else, and in fact someone did, or pretended to anyway. She knew that the place was a haven for vampires, but she had never thought that she would ever have trouble with them. She had always thought that they'd sense that she was powerful and could burn them to a crisp and steer clear of her, and she had never worried about them being around. Maybe this night would sway her thought on that.
Leaning against a wall, Sam sensed that there was something near, she wasn't sure what it was though, it wasn't something that she had even sensed before. She also sensed a few vampires near, she was sure that the unknown scent was quite close, so it was only natural that she was slightly on edge. The mage wasn't overly worried about it, but she was slightly concerned that she didn't know what it was and that it was nearby. She kept some focus on the unknown scent, but had most of her focus on what was going on around her. And a vampire had just approached her, looking her up and down with a stupid grin on his face. She glanced up at him and before he could say anything she flashed a quick smile and spoke. "What do you want?" She spoke with a little bit of a bitter tone in her voice, causing the vampire to snarl slightly. "Don't get snappy with me girl. You have no idea what I could do to you." [/I] A smirk came to Sam's lips and she rolled her eyes. "Oh yeah? Don't test me bloodsucker. I know what you are, and how to kill you."All this did was bring an amused look to the vampire's face. "Oh damn, I'm so scared now."[/i] Sam smirked at his comment, and lost eye contact for a few seconds, which was all the vampire needed. He reached out and grabbed her shoulder while she was looking away. Sam let out a short scream before that vampire threw her on the ground, hitting her head against a rock, causing the back of her head to bleed. She went a little blank for a few seconds but was back soon enough to see the vampire coming down on her, aiming his fangs at her throat. Her eyes widened slightly as she swung out her closed fist, colliding it with the side of his face, causing him to fall to the side slightly. It gave Sam all the time she needed to reach into her clutch to get her small gun out. She had it loaded with silver bullets just in case something happened. She aimed at the vampire's head and pulled the trigger. The vampire dropped dead and she got up off the ground quickly, her breathing heavy and quick. Glancing down at the body lying on the ground, she quickly decided that it would be in her best interest to get out of there as quickly as she could. So she left as soon as she could, half jogging away from where it all happened. As she rounded a corner she realised that she was bleeding. "Crap." She said as she brought her hand back from where she was bleeding from and saw that blood. That meant that there would be blood in her blond hair, ruining the rest of the night for her. Shaking her head softly she continued walking, but stopped suddenly when she almost tripped over a limp body. She gasped a little as she looked down and saw that their neck was all bloody like it had been bitten. Sam stepped back a few steps and looked around. It looked fresh, and she was somewhat scared. She heard a noise, something like there was someone there, and instantly got her gun out. "Who's there?" She said, continuing to look around. Niko could sense numerous other vampires in the area, and there were some humans as well. With the reputation that this street had, none of them probably had any good intention. They were only trouble. But as Niko had just proven to anyone who was watching, he wasn't someone they could easily prey upon. And often times, he set himself up to look vulnerable, just so he could draw in his victims and have a bit of fun. Although once word was out all around the city about Reapers, and the humans along with the rest of the species learned some things, the fun would die down. It wasn't as fun when someone already knew what you were. But for the time being, only a few people knew about Reapers, and Niko was taking advantage of that while he could. So after feeding from that first vampire, Niko walked around a corner and saw a store. What caught his eye about it though, was that the place was still open, even at this hour. Another striking thing, was that it was a gun shop. This city really was fucked up if they had a gun store in a violent area.
Making that store his next target, Niko wiped any visible blood from his mouth before proceeding forward and walking into the store. A small bell above the door rang when he opened it, and Niko tried his best to look like any other customer. As for the shop itself, it was small, only being run by one person at the counter. But Niko didn't doubt for a minute that the guy was likely armed. Hell, he had his own gun store, and he had set it up on a street known for violence. Not being armed on such an occasion, could prove to be a deadly mistake. So this was why Niko speculated that the guy had a gun, and he kept that in mind as he walked over to a selection of pistols. Next to them, were some odd looking bullets, but he knew what they were for. Picking up one of the displays and looking at it, Niko spoke to the shop owner.
"These for those things walking around on the streets?" He asked. He already knew the answer to him, though again, it was all a part of his plan. "Yep." The owner said in response. "You never know what you'll run into these days." That remark caused Niko to snicker, a smile showing on his features some as he kept looking over the round. "It's sad, but completely true." Niko said in response. "Sometimes you can avoid it, sometimes you can't." He continued to say, looking up at the shop owner. "Like if one of them were to walk into your store." Niko then made his way towards the counter, the owner reaching under the table for a gun. "No need for that. I don't mean any harm." He said as he got to the counter.
The shop keeper stopped for a moment, but immediately reached for the gun again when he saw some left over blood on Niko's sleeve. Niko then reached across the counter and grabbed the man by the throat, slamming his head into the hard wooden table to get him to drop the gun. And when he did, he grabbed him by the shirt as well before picking him up and hoisting him over the counter. Then he set him back down before slamming him against it and forcing his head to the side to expose his neck. Knowing that he was about to feed, Niko's appearance changed to that of something less human. His eyes were white, his teeth sharper, and the areas around his eyes were darker. Like vampires, Reapers had a "true" form, and that was what he displayed. Niko then bit down, his teeth sinking into the soft flesh and allowing the blood to flow. And as he fed more and more from the body, the amount of blood became less. So he held the corpse closer, which allowed him to sink his teeth in deeper. And just like he had with the vampire, he drained the body dry before dropping it to the ground.
After that, he went back out the door, but was stopped when he picked up a very familiar scent. Blood. And not from either of the two people he killed. The fact that another victim may've been around, kept Niko from shifting back to a more human appearance. At this point, he didn't care if anyone noticed whether nor not he looked human. Besides, with the hood over his head, it was hard to tell. So he made his way towards the scene before catching sight of the mage. Apparently, she had stumbled across the vampire's body from earlier. And now she had a gun out, asking who was there. Making his way through the shadows once more, Niko maneuvered his way behind the mage before stepping out into the street. "Guns are overrated these days." He said to make his presence known. [/blockquote][/size] ----------- Tag: Anyone Word Count: 846 Notes: I had the muse for him to kill someone else. I'VE BEEN BURRIED IN THE SAND I'VE COME DOWN WITH NO PLACE TOland i don't need you to understand it's not what i had planned allTHE HUNGER ALL THE YEARNING WITH THE LIFELINE THAT YOU'RE It was an odd feeling, Sam was rarely frightened, but at the moment, she was simply terrified. And given the recent happenings, who could blame her. As she was looking around her, that strange scent came to her again. She screwed her nose up slightly, it wasn't really a pleasant scent, and it also made her a little frightened, things that were strange frightened most people, and Sam was no different on that subject. That scent was bothering her quite a bit, well it was until she heard a voice behind her. "Guns are overrated these days." She spun around quickly, facing whoever, or whatever, it was that had managed to sneak up on her. "Who the fuck are you?" She demanded. She may have been scared, but she still had some confidence in her.
It wasn't but a few seconds after she spoke that she realised that the strange scent was coming from this, thing. Pointing the gun at his head, Sam looked him over trying to figure out what he was. "What are you?" She demanded again, keeping the gun pointed at his head, though it didn't seem to have any sort of effect on him. Her head was giving her a lot of pain at the time, and she just wanted to go, but not before she got some answers. She wanted to know all about this strange being, she was certain that it was something that she had never came across before. She had heard about a couple of new species that had recently been discovered, but she had never though twice about them, she didn't think that they were real, just some made up shit to frighten everyone more than what they already were. But she was beginning to think that maybe these rumours weren't just something to scare people.
So many scenarios were running through her head, ones that benefited her, and ones that did not. But she tried not to focus on those, and instead focus on what was in front of her, this thing, this unknown thing that stood in front of her eyes. She didn't realise it, but she was shaking, from fear and nervousness. Thought she never took her eyes off of the stranger in front of her. She finally developed the courage to ask what she had wanted to as soon as she knew he was there. "Did you do this?" She glanced down at the dead vampire's body quickly, and then back up to the thing.

He could sense it on the air, radiating off of the mage. It was fear, a thick and heavy type of feeling. Niko loved it when he could sense the fear in someone though, it meant that they had a weakness. If you didn't control your fear, it would control you. And even if someone showed control, Niko had his ways of manipulating their fears to get them where he wanted them. "Who the fuck am I?" Niko said, a hint of amusement in his tone. If only those damn hunters in the past didn't keep their "experiments" a secret, he might've been more well known. He was the first Reaper, the original failure as they liked to call it. But Niko didn't ask for fame or any sort of leadership. He was pretty much a loner, working with a few other Reapers every now and then. "For starters, you can call me Niko." It didn't hurt to give out his name, and if she took it up to the hunters, well, he frankly wouldn't care.
What the hell were they going to do against Reapers, if they couldn't even stop the species that were easier to kill? "To a human, I could be a lycan, I could be a vampire, or I could be a siren." He started to say. "But you know better than that, don't you?" Even though mages were quite close to humans, they were still able to sense the different species around them. And now, Niko was only playing games with this being in front of him. He could see that she had a gun, pointed at his head no doubt, but it didn't phase him in the slightest. If she were to shoot him, even in the head, he'd heal quickly because of regeneration. And it was that fact, that helped to humor Niko. The hunters had worked so hard to create something they thought would be perfect. But the truth was, it only came back to bite them in the ass. After all these years, Niko had awoken to get a little revenge on hunters. In the process though, he didn't mind sidetracking and creating a bit of hell.
Taking in the Mage's question, he never let his gaze fall away from her. "We all have to feed, don't we?" It was an obvious answer to what she had asked, and even though he had just fed from two people, he was still hungry. Like some lycans, Reapers could feed on numerous bodies, and it'd take awhile before they were full. That's how Niko was, and if he got the chance, he attempt to make this mage into a meal as well. So with the thought of a feed in mind, Niko took a few steps closer to her. She could shoot all she wanted, it wouldn't do much to him unless she hit in the right spot at the side. But he was always aware of that weakness, and made it difficult for anyone to get to him with it. That being said though, getting hit with a bullet wasn't exactly fun. So he'd dodge if he could, making himself a harder target.

I'VE BEEN BURRIED IN THE SAND I'VE COME DOWN WITH NO PLACE TOland i don't need you to understand it's not what i had planned allTHE HUNGER ALL THE YEARNING WITH THE LIFELINE THAT YOU'RE In Sam's opinion, this thing, whatever it was, was acting far too fond of itself, like nothing could do it any harm. Pfft, she'd show it, maybe, surely a gun loaded with special bullets would do it in. She still didn't know what it was, but her thoughts kept going to something that she'd heard a few days in the past, reapers and faes. Could this guy be one of those, she was highly considering it. Her breathing was slightly heavier than it should have been, and she was putting all her might into not turning her back and running. She knew that you should never turn your back on anyone, or thing, in this place, unless you had a death wish, and this girl did not, she quite liked her life. There was much more for her to live for, Tiara being the most important thing in it. Tiara was her younger sister, she was also a mage and Sam had taken her with her when she had ran away from her family, who were all hunters. Her mother had had an affair with a mage who she was supposed to kill, she didn't and ran off with him many times before her husband had found out, after he had discovered that his two daughters were like that of which he hunted.
Niko, he took in the being's name quickly, shut it away in her head for future reference then focused her mind on surviving this encounter, that is if she was to be put in any danger, but in reality she was in some sort of danger. Her eyes did a quick dash around their surroundings before returning back to Niko, "I do know better. You are none of those things. But, I don't know what you really are." She spoke with an inquisitive tone in her voice, she was more curious than she was anything else, other than frightened though of cause. Again, he mind kept going back to the newly discovered species that she had heard of the other day, reaper, fae. The more she thought about it, the more she leaned toward reaper. She had heard a little about each species, and faes didn't seem too bad, but reapers on the other hand, they sounded horrible, and that was one of the adjectives that she thought of when she looked at Niko.
She took another quick glance around, this time in an attempt to find an escape route. But as she looked, she found nothing, other than the way she came from and past Niko. She would have sighed at the discovery if she wasn't so scared and in this situation. "So," she said as calmly as she could, glancing down at the dead body again, "you're a murderer." It was a statement rather than a question, she was stating what she thought in her head. "I should just empty this barrel into you, but I have a feeling that it'll do nothing." She was smart enough to realise that if she was to shoot him, nothing would happen. He was in no way afraid of the gun, so either bullets didn't work or he had a death wish.
