The chirping of birds echoed throughout the park as sky slowly changed from grey to pale blue. It was just a few hours after dawn, and the place wasn't yet filled with people, but there were a few bodies roaming around, mostly joggers looking for their morning exercise.
Exercise was not on Krista's agenda, though. Her reason for being here was as simple as having nothing else to do. She rather enjoyed the park, and came here on several occasions, whether to pass the time or just enjoy the peace. This was a place that she could get away from people, even if she wasn't alone. The other people that came usually kept to themselves and seemed to seek the same things she did.
Krista moved toward a bench at the far end of the park, following the gravel path to get there. She sat down, pulling the back of her skirt under her as she did so that she was sitting on it, making sure it was covering everything it was supposed to. She pulled her hair so that all of her rich brown waves were falling in front of one shoulder.
She turned her Zune on and put one earphone in, turning the volume to the lowest it could go with her still being able to hear the music. She leaned her head back, closed her eyes, and began quietly humming along to the music, accompanied by the still singing birds in the background. Krista very much enjoyed not having anything to do.

The day was bright which was extremely rare in a place such as here, and Patch was quite keen to make the most of it. So with his black jacket wrapped around him, he dug his hands into the pockets, underneath he wore his usual black t-shirt, around his neck he wore a silver necklace, that flashed against his slightly dark complexion, with it he too wore tight black jeans that emphasized his strong legs and thighs, along with that he wore black biker boots. As he walked his black eyes danced across the area that surrounded him, currently he was making his way to the local park, there was nothing like a stroll through the park on days like these. He still had a a lot to plan in the way of making particular people's life's hell.
They had cast him down, not that he minded, but he was going to have fun one way or another. As he strolled on through the park in the distance he heard light and soft humming, Glancing around further he spotted the source, there as a girl not to far away, she wore very little which left little to the imagination, again not that he was complaining about such things, his black eyes searched her body, and her face, she was an attractive little thing, and would certainly prove interesting for at least some form of entertainment.
Stopping for the moment, his thoughts questioned what few friends he had above, whom he could detect were both irritated by his persistence but seemed to enjoy his activities. He smirked softly as he got a name, now the question was did he scare the girl, or simply talk to her and see where things went? For now he stuck with the latter, but he didn't mind the whole making a being feel uncomfortable, if anything that was one of the many things he enjoyed. But for now that could wait. Relaxing he raised his shoulders and strode confidently over to wards the girl who probably wouldn't hear his approach. None the less within moments he stood before her, and put on an all too hopefully convincing act.
"Excuse me, is your name Kristabella, sorry only you look very familiar" He stated, hell that was better than nothing at the moment, and it gave him somewhere to start. "Mind If I join you?" he questioned, he wasn't usually polite but it didn't bother him, before he waited for an answer he sat beside her, and stretched out his long lean, legs before him crossing his arms across his chest, there was always the excuse that he was waiting for someone which never failed and on some levels it was slightly the truth, he wondered how long it would be until Remy decided to show him self once again.

Kristabella found her gaze directed toward the tops of the trees surrounding the little park, watching the birds flutter from one branch to another, playful and carefree. Krista had always thought a bird's life must be nice, able to fly around, above everyone, free of rules and such trivial limitations as the humans had.
She sighed quietly, the hint of a smile having found its way to her lips. Yes, it must be nice, but that did not matter. She was not a bird, so it was irrelevant. Still, it could not hurt to have a little imagination, could it?
She was just about to change the song when someone spoke to her. It surprised her, causing her to jump a little, but she quickly regained composure. "Excuse me, is your name Kristabella," a second surprise, though this time it was not so easy to get over. How often do random people come up and guess your name correctly? "Sorry only you look very familiar," he continued.
Maybe that would have made sense, if he were talking to someone else. But for Krista, it set off warning bells in her head. It was strange enough that someone she didn't recognize in the least had known her name before she'd even spoken to him, but the moment he had added the part about her looking familiar to him, a feeling she knew well had emerged: something like a little needle prodding at the back of her mind. But if that was a lie...how does he know my name?
"Mind if I join you?" he asked, but sat before she responded. She removed the earphone and put her hair behind her ear. "Um, yeah...that's my name. But how did you know that?" she questioned, wondering if she should just come right out and accuse him of lying. But she was also curious to find out how far he would go with his original story, that she looked familiar, and why he had said that in the first place if it wasn't true.

As he approached the girl it was evident, that she was a lot more weary, if not shy than she appeared, than again why he expected any different he didn't know. None the less he sat down beside her, and noticed how she tensed almost instantly, not that he could blame her, he would probably be the same when approached by a complete stranger, than again, that wasn't him so it didn't actually bother him and then there was no real reason as to why he would even be having this thought. Once he was seated beside her, he looked ahead, taking in the surroundings for the moment, and just on cue, the girl spoke, one question he expected, and one question he had a good enough answer for.
Um, yeah...that's my name. But how did you know that? She had questioned and Patch shrugged elegantly before he then shifted and turned his body and attention to wards Kristabella "Okay, I lied I don't actually know you, but you were sat here on your own and an attractive woman like yourself, is very rare to come across these days." he mused and flashed her a charming if not remotely sexy, yet even sinister grin, he hoped he hadn't scared her too much although he wasn't all that bothered if he had or not.
"As for your name.." he commented and pointed to the small writing on the side of one of her items, it was incredibly small barely even readable, although that wasn't how he had in actual fact found out her name, what she didn't know wouldn't hurt her. "I didn't mean to scare you or anything." he apologized lightly and raised his hand, although he found it most amusing that the girl would use such defensive tones, He smirked lightly, his black eyes gazed to her for a long moment as if trying to read her, see into the depths of her soul, however all the information he had received from high up, was most interesting, maybe, just maybe he would get to know this girl a little better, for all he knew it could prove most beneficial.
None the less, he relaxed and shifted once again looking ahead and up to the tree tops the sun was slowly making it's way up past the trees, he blew out a breath and watched as vapor formed. Easily amused one could say, grinning. Patch remained silent for the most part before he tilted his head to wards the girl. "So, what are you doing here on your own, of all places?" he questioned his tone curious, his eyes flared as he spoke, before they relaxed and a impish smile swept across his lips.

Krista watched the man warily, unsure of what to think of him. She was still trying to figure out what reason he could have for lying about how he knew her name, not to mention how he knew it in the first place to even lie about it. But eventually, he answered that question. Sort of.
"Okay, I lied I don't actually know you, but you were sat here on your own and an attractive woman like yourself, is very rare to come across these days." She felt her face get a little warm at the comment, and at the grin he displayed, but also found it a bit amusing. And he had admitted to lying, though she wasn't sure why he had bothered if he was going to give up that charade so quickly.
"As for your name.." he continued, pointing at what she was holding, bringing her gaze in the direction of his finger. Etched into the side of her Zune, though with small letters, was her name. Her eyes narrowed slightly. Well, that made sense, she supposed. But it didn't mean she believed him, because she didn't. She had a feeling that he wasn't giving her the truth, or at least all of it. And that feeling had never been wrong before.
She looked back up and met his eyes, staring into his as he stared into hers. It unnerved her-- she'd never seen black eyes, yet his were definitely black. Endless dark, abysmal even. She could only guess at all the secrets hidden behind those dark veils.
She started to say something, to ask him something, but stopped as he did the same. "So, what are you doing here on your own, of all places?" She considered the question for a moment before answering, "I enjoy coming here. It's quiet. Peaceful. Especially now, when there aren't many people." She turned her gaze forward to the rest of the park that was layed out before her. Most of the people that had been there before had left, probably to return to their family or work. Just a few remained, scattered around the area, keeping to themselves.
After a moment, Kristabella turned back to the man on the bench beside her, the man who she knew nothing about yet who seemed to know more about her than she had provided, and who wasn't letting on to how he knew. Not truthfully, anyway. "Who are you?" she asked, though it came off as more of a demand. That was alright, just fine in fact. She wanted the truth, and if that was how she needed to be to get it, then she was perfectly fine with that. She didn't care if it offended him or irritated him. That was his problem. Her problem was not knowing so much as his name and she was determined to change that. If he could know her, why couldn't she know him?

Patch smirked slightly it was evident that the girl beside him, didn't believe him, nor trusted him for that matter which Patch could of course understand, even he wouldn't trust himself. Her reaction was one he expected, although she appeared a lot more shy than what he first thought, not that it bothered him all that much. Watching her for a moment he saw the heat as it flooded her cheeks, and he could not help but let another smirk, of amusement, perhaps even smugness cross his expression. When she finally spoke, her voice was soft, and gentle, he knew that it was certainly covered with shyness.
I enjoy coming here. It's quiet. Peaceful. Especially now, when there aren't many people. She had commented, hearing this he glanced around the park it certainly was quiet, there was now only the odd dog walker, playing fetch, there was one old couple obviously having come back from the shop, with no doubt a newspaper and a pint or so of milk, at this he smiled softly, and chuckled lightly to himself at such a sight, Leaning back on the bench he stretched out his legs before him his arms crossed over his chest as he studied the scenery. "It Does have some perks I suppose." he commented softly.
When the girl, Kristabella, beside him questioned him he turned his head a fraction to face her and smiled slowly , the corner of his lip lifting up into a slanted smirk. It was playful almost and inviting. Who are you? Shifting his body then he turned to face her and grinned now. "everyone calls me Patch. No Really, Call me." he teased softly as he then lightly nudged her arm in order to loosen her up she looked tense and uptight, of course in any other situation he would certainly try to rectify that, by his own means, but as it was the current situation didn't present that option. Instead, he would simply stick with telling light jokes, and holding a conversation, if he didn't scare her to much, even if he did, it wouldn't bother him, as he had a feeling she would be back for more anyway. At least he hoped she would be.
Glancing around again the dog walkers had moved on so had the old couple the only people were he and Kristabella, yet he showed no signs of being at all bothered by such a thing, as the silence for a moment stretched the only sound was the strong beat of his heart, as well as the light flutter of Kristabella's, accompanied by the heavy breathing from them both. Lifting his gaze, he gazed up into the dull sky, was there possible chances of sunshine? He hoped so, either way he had a plans for tonight he was due to play a game with the locals, there stakes were high tonight, so it was something he couldn't miss.
He wondered if they themselves would show up, Patch had particularly beaten every person whom he had played, and because of that he had a good amount of money in his wallet, one thing he was not betting, the one thing he refused to for that matter was his motor bike, unless, the exchange was extremely high. "So do you come here everyday?" Patch questioned as he tilted his head to wards hers. She was certainly interesting and there were still a lot of things he wished to find out about this girl.

Kristabella narrowed her eyes slightly as he smirked. Again. It had begun to be a very familiar expression on his face. That teasing, dark, smug, mischievous, sneaky, persistent little smirk. It would drive her crazy, she just knew it.
"Everyone calls me Patch." He nudged her arm teasingly, and she couldn't help but smile. Krista didn't see any immediate danger in relaxing a little and playing nice.
"Patch..." she said, testing it out. It was an odd name, but then again, hers wasn't exactly the most common, either. "Everyone calls you Patch. So, is that not your real name? It does sound like more of a nickname," she continued, considering.
She shifted a little so that she was more comfortable on her side of the bench. After a time, it grew quiet. The silence continued, but Kristabella found, to her surprise--and amusement--, that she was not really uncomfortable with it. So maybe her first impression of this guy was better than even she had thought. At least a little.
"So do you come here everyday?" he asked. Krista considered this, then smiled. "Everyday? No, not quite...Mostly when I want to relax, or on occasions like this when I have nothing else to do," she replied, turning her gaze toward him. After a moment, she continued with a slight grin, "Something tells me you don't visit here everyday, either."

Looking to her for a long moment he said nothing merely watched her expression, watched her body language, all of this fascinated him, the way human bodies functioned, some sensations, he knew would not match up to what they should be when experienced by himself, if anything fallen angels tended to feel said sensations, and emotions but it was often dulled. Patch...Everyone calls you Patch. So, is that not your real name? It does sound like more of a nickname, Kristabella asked, to which Patch gave a gentle shrug and a half smile, there was no way he was about to tell the girl his real name. "It's a name I often go by theses days, I prefer it."
He commented, he had stuck by the same name for years now, he had first gotten the name by his best friend Rixon, who was currently away doing who knew what. It wasn't that he didn't like his real name, he just simply as he had said preferred the name Patch, only because it held the edge of mystery among many other things, which was how he liked it, he preferred to keep everything about him in the dark, although his activities were not kept in the dark, in fact he made sure that what he did, did effect someone or something that way he was sure to annoy a certain someone, simply for the fun of it.
Everyday? No, not quite...Mostly when I want to relax, or on occasions like this when I have nothing else to do, She then said, and Patch nodded, that was understandable. He himself tended to avoid most human contact when the needs suited him, today of all days he however decided not to where his baseball cap. Usually he would often wear it, whenever he could his hair at the moment was in need of a cut, usually the hat often hid the evidence. However it mattered little today. When she spoke, with the suggestion that he didn't visit the park everyday, he smirked softly. "I don't usually come here at all, actually." he admitted but said little else. With his hands buried within his jacket pocket he glanced around once again before he looked back to Kristabella beside him.

Krista watched him as he watched her, trying to figure him out. He'd given her something, but very little. She found herself, though she wasn't sure why, wanting to know more about him. It was obvious he preferred keeping most of anything about him secret, but she wasn't content to leave it at that. "It's a name I often go by theses days, I prefer it," he responded, nonchalantly. She sighed silently. He wasn't going to make it easy, was he?
She smiled to herself. How had this happened? She'd distrusted him instantly, especially with the lies he'd tried to pull, but now...Now she wanted to know more about him. To be able to trust him. Why, she hadn't the slightest idea. He didn't seem like he particularly wanted to be trusted, in fact it seemed as if he made an intentional effort to keep people away from it. Well maybe that was why she wanted to, just to prove he couldn't keep her at bay forever. Maybe it wasn't about knowing his secrets at all, but just being able to get him to share them.
"I don't usually come here at all, actually."
"I see," she answered, then after a pause, "What made you decide to come here today, then?" She considered this for a moment, then added, "I don't really mean to be nosy, I'm just curious." She looked at him with a soft smile, hoping he wouldn't get frustrated with her questions. That wouldn't help at all with getting to understand him better.
